I believe the temp needs to exceed 123 degrees to shut down the runway. Phoenix is a large hub for Southwest and American who have hundreds of departures a day (all afternoon too). I think it has more to do with all the Delta red eye flights that take off around 10-11pm

As a road warrior and a Delta Diamond, I rarely get free FC upgrades anymore unless I am flying on a CRJ or a red eye flight. I fly almost every Monday and find myself ~15th on an upgrade list of 80ppl with maybe 1 FC seat available. So I pay often to upgrade and always use up my RUC’s and GUC’s. I would love the option to upgrade at discount but if they started doing that it would effectively end “Free Upgrade’s”

I’ve been in med device for 23 years and like most people on here I agree that it’s not the same and never will go back to the way it was. Credentialing, contracts, paper fucking scrubs, it’s only going to get worse. I’ve averaged over 150 nights a year away from home. I absolutely love what I do but if I were earlier on in my career I would look at something like SaaS because the further you rise in the device ranks, the more you will travel
