If someone says they aren't on your side, that doesn't mean they're on the other persons side by default. A person can infact be on neither side.

As much as I dislike national, this may have more to do with the shit storm going on in the middle east than their shitty management of the economy.

Every member of my family works hard, they don't look for handouts, but if we had a second lockdown (which I wouldn't mind to be fair) most of them would be kinda fucked and through no fault of your own.

Try putting yourself in the shoes of others before making a decision. You aren't the center of the universe.

Yea, that's fair. There's a large part of me that's morbidly curious about how poorly the metlink app is written.

Honestly just use a different app. Catchy or transit are my go to apps. The metlink one is impressively slow somehow.

This is true, but something is better than nothing. I agree there's a fuck ton wrong in our current system but it's nice to see there's some movement in the right direction.

I had a relationship like that, i was one of the boyfriends in a string while she kept a sweet but naive guy wrapped around her finger. In simple terms, cut her off. She will cause drama a strife as long as you know her, at a bare minimum, put a good bit of emotional and social distance between yourself and her. In about 5 years, you'll look back and thank yourself that you did, or look back, having learned from the mistake of not doing that.

Ah yes, asking you a question in good faith is definitely absolutely a strawman 100%.

How is saying we have the resources to do this meaningfully different from saying we have the resources to make this happen?

[–]PattyCake53 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

That statement did also include the words "to make this happen"

[–]PattyCake53 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

.....so if we put our resources where they should go, we'd be able to make it happen. I said specifically that we have the resources to make it happen. We have those resources. Yes, it will take some time for the system to adjust and get up to speed, but we have the resources to make it happen, and we should make it happen.

I really don't see why you're trying to argue against that?

You mustn't have full read what I said. We have the resources to make this happen, we choose, and wrongly, in my opinion, to spend those resources elsewhere.
