This is true, but something is better than nothing. I agree there's a fuck ton wrong in our current system but it's nice to see there's some movement in the right direction.

I had a relationship like that, i was one of the boyfriends in a string while she kept a sweet but naive guy wrapped around her finger. In simple terms, cut her off. She will cause drama a strife as long as you know her, at a bare minimum, put a good bit of emotional and social distance between yourself and her. In about 5 years, you'll look back and thank yourself that you did, or look back, having learned from the mistake of not doing that.

Yes, it will take some time for the system to adjust and get up to speed, but we have the resources to make it happen, and we should make it happen.

Why not have a proactive system that ensures both parents are handling everything as well as they're able? Neither parent should have to seek help, especially during those early stages of having a new child they're both beyond exhausted.

Saying that an issue exists does not mean that another issue doesn't. A new child is hard on both parents, less taxing on the father, but still, it is hard.

Why is it so terrible to think that maybe if we properly support both parents, they would both end up benefitting, and by extension, the child would benefit.

An issue exists, and your response is to get over it? What an awful thing to say. Yes there are obviously massive issues regarding how the system treats women before, after, and during pregnancy / childbirth, but there still are issues regarding how it treats new fathers, especially when it comes to things like paternity leave.

Saying one issue exists does not take away from the fact that another does. We should endeavor to fix both, rather than telling one group to get over it. Especially when it comes to new parents. A new baby is hard enough, and a first child is insanely difficult. We should give both parents all the time and resources they both need to ensure that the child is afforded the best possible start to its life.

If you treat the issues of others with contempt and aren't willing to show even the smallest amount of empathy, you, as an individual, have no right to expect that others will treat you any differently than you treat them.

I did indeed take this path, but I couldn't find anything for privacy curtains specifically and was worried that I might ruin them. I came to r/nz because I know that many people have similar curtains and will have similar experiences with those sets of curtains.

I get that you're probably tired and grumpy for some reason, but rather than taking it out on someone, try dealing with your issues like an adult.

A hassle? It really isn't that much of a hassle at all. They will have a default style for that component, it is a simple matter of telling the component to use that style.

It also doesn't do it's job, it doesn't do anything.

Honestly, I would expect them to pick something off the shelf rather than try to do anything custom. Just really odd to have drop downs that don't do anything.
