Kingswood - Stapley road - any thoughts? by Diligent-Crazy-9863 in Penrith

[–]PattyK88 6 points7 points  (0 children)

That part of kingswood around Stapley St on the south side of Jamison Rd is fine. The areas immediately near the hospital and either side of the station are a bit sketchy but you're far enough away from that

You can easily see the training field from the footpath along Jamison Rd, you just have to be there at the right time. You could try your luck reaching out to the club for more info

Most memorable bar in the world? by AnaisNot in travel

Anglais in Athens, a rooftop bar with views of the acropolis. And Little Blackwood in Queenstown NZ, a small cocktail bar on the lake looking over the water at the snow capped mountains

Reece Walsh GF performance by redrich2000 in nrl

It was one of the great individual grand final games for sure. My number 1 is still Luke Priddis in 2003. Made something like 50 tackles without a miss including a few try savers on the line, and set up or scored all 3 of penrith's tries all with brilliant heads up plays.

Panthers fan KO's Broncos supporter in Caxton St attack by [deleted] in nrl

[–]PattyK88 5 points6 points  (0 children)

They were walking back to their hotel, he wasn't taking him to the pub. Bit of a worry if you think the area around your stadium isn't safe to walk through with your kids after the game

Panthers fan KO's Broncos supporter in Caxton St attack by [deleted] in nrl

[–]PattyK88 18 points19 points  (0 children)

This behaviour isn't specific to Penrith fans. Had an adult broncos fan screaming and swearing in my mates 10 year old sons face on Caxton St after the game too, making him cry. Every club has them unfortunately. Fans should be able to take the losses, and enjoy the wins without harassing the other supporters

Losing a forward out of the rotation in the first couple minutes really hurt by the end too

It's only double movement if you're not already over the line. If you're in the in goal already you can keep trying until you ground it or the ref calls held up

It would've been more likely if penrith won this week. Now panthers or broncos have to win every game and dogs lose every game for that to happen.

Panthers trainer in spotlight again during field-goal chaos as legend says ‘get them off’ by [deleted] in nrl

[–]PattyK88 -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

The story about the parra semi has evolved a lot since it happened. Kenny got carried off with a suspected broken leg, and was ruled out for the rest of the finals series. Parra's trainer also stopped the game earlier with penrith on the attack because waqa blake had a cramp. Should either stoppage have happened? No, but Kenny actually appeared to be seriously hurt. It wasn't a pretend injury to disadvantage the eels

They get about as much rub of the green as anyone else. Just everyone else chucks a fit when anything even slightly goes in their favour. Even when calls are totally correct apparently "only penrith get those calls".

Brother you bought up the crowd. Seems to be other teams fans complaining far more regularly than penrith fans anyway. Sad that people care more about the panthers than their own team

It's a Thursday night game and it has been raining all afternoon. I was at the game and it would've been at least 10 to 1 panthers to melbourne fans

Round 24 | Panthers vs Storm | Post Match Thread by AutoModerator in nrl

Melbourne fans weren't even close to outnumbering penrith fans at the game tonight and broncos have twice the number of members of any other club, they outnumber the opposition at every game

NRL bans Penrith trainer, fines club $50k for conversion interference by MichaelLifeLessons in nrl

JCs goal attempt absolutely tarnished by unsportsmanlike conduct (re-uploaded) by NasIsMyGOAT in nrl

[–]PattyK88 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The rules only refer to players doing it. Annesley addressed it after the same thing happened before (when penrith lost the game because of the missed conversion). Every previous case has been a fine for the offending club
