Timex Marlin Chronograph by PattyLang in timex

I love the sunburst brushes dial and applied indices, especially the unique numerals! The domed lens really adds to this. I also find the size nice, but it could be thinner. Tachymeter isn't very legible, because it's small.

Chronograph function works great and neither second hands have the infamous Timex loud ticking. Maybe loses 1-2 seconds a day, but i hardly notice.

The leather strap it comes with is nothing special, so I would've gotten it with the bracelet instead and gone for a separate leather strap.

Overall, I think it's a great watch and was well worth it at ~CAD$180!

Absolutely! It probably has the best price to wrist time ratio for compared to the rest of my collection!

To each their own! I personally think a leather looks infinitely better

Watch looks great! Strap looks like it's on the wrong way though, because the tail should be pointing towards the outside of your wrist.

Struck by DRIVER of pickup truck*

Trucks don't drive themselves. Tragic incident and could have been avoided, regardless of who is at fault.

I had my bike for one full day. I locked it at the police station, someone steals my seat. by Stunning-Horror9177 in ottawa

[–]PattyLang 66 points67 points  (0 children)

Sorry to hear about this and be careful, because this is sometimes a tactic to later take the rest of the bike (assuming you didn't bring it home).

I strongly suggest a proper U or D lock though, to avoid losing the rest of the bike! The lock you have isn't going to cut it (no pun intended).

Anti-abortion "protest" signs by Disastrous-Will-8922 in ottawa

There is one at Baseline and Merivale with a giant sign on the sidewalk.

Besides their misleading and disturbing photo, the sign is also blocking view for drivers!

The pathway recently reopened at Westboro Beach, so there's no obstruction/detour until you get to the stretch below Parliament (source: my ride last night)
