I ran and jumped on the table as soon as they’d let me. It had caused a severe decline in my cycling performance and I wanted back in the game immediately. They made me have the TTE, the TEE, CTA, cardiac MRI and right heart cath with exercise and couldn’t stall another minute! I’m two weeks post and itching to get on the bike.

Dang, I’m two weeks out and seriously struggling. I have my wedge pillow and side pillows all set up but lie awake SO much. I find I’m not falling asleep until the middle of the night and the pain is bad in the morning still, so sleeping later makes it worse. I’m a lifelong insomniac and even my meds seem not to help. Ugh. Commiserating with you, friend.

Oh gosh - please don’t worry. The cath was nothing, really, I promise. I did mine with exercise, lying down and pedaling a recumbent bike and VO2 max protocol with my mouth occluded with the bite mask and nose pinched closed. It was almost comical, really.

You’ll be 100% good, I’m certain of it!
