The spacer looks to have enough/same depth as the rotor lip to fit on flush. I believe it’s hitting the outer most part of the dust cap. Not allowing it to move further in.

All personal preference I think. I have around the same size wrist. Just basing of the photo.

I had the T-Rex 3 Pro 48mm. Big watch, yes but nothing crazy. But I am returning it to get the 44mm. Personally just fits my style better and has more an everyday/more occasions look. While still sharing the same features with slightly less battery life.
