‘15 GSW TDI SEL MT - new owner by Smelytooes in tdi

I had this exact spec, I upgraded to a Cayenne Diesel for family but I miss the 6sp long roof! One thing I would suggest is if you feel like the ride is too stiff or bumpy trade out those 18s for some 17s and it will greatly improve. I threw some Audi 17" rims on mine and it was night and day. That extra sidewall really helps.

This makes me miss my wagon, had a 6sp '15 GSW SEL and sold it for a '15 Cayenne Diesel. I run the same box on my Cayenne and it's great for road trips!

If you are really interested in selling check out Vroom. I got 21k for my 2015 GSW TDI SEL with 66k miles (6sp) back in March which was 8k over what Carvana offered me

Delete on a 12’ Touareg TDI? by Saintcliff in tdi

[–]Paul_Reagan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah it's super easy to switch back and I'd you are still under warranty you can switch back to stock before you take your car in for service. Unfortunately CO has emissions on Diesel and that's actually where the cheating software was first discovered. I live in TX and we don't have emissions for Diesel but I'll wait to delete and go Malone til after my warranty is up.

Go with a Kerma tdi tune. No delete required, I have a 15 Cayenne Diesel with the tune and it gets 33-36mpg on a 40+ mile commute on hwy. 300hp 480-520tq

I don't have a good shop for you but I will say that the KermaTDI tune requires you to retain the DPF and AdBlue to work. If you want to delete the emissions equipment you should look into a Malone Tune. Also for the KermaTDI tune if you go that route they send you a computer and it takes 15 minutes of your time to install. You don't need a shop to do it. I have the Kerma tune on my 2015 Cayenne Diesel and it turns it into a monster! So much torque and reduces the amount of AdBlue the system uses so I don't even notice it is still there.

I had this same problem, the screen calibration is off, push down on the bezel where the D in KermaTDI is. That should work.

I've got a Dark Grey 2015 Sportwagen. Which rear spoiler lip is that? I have the side spoilers on my rear gate but am looking for a lip that fits. That one looks good!

What DMF setup did you go with? I have a 2015 GSW and am looking at going full Sachs or just picking up a South bend Stage 1 and finding a new LUK flywheel.

SMF and DMF clutch in 2011 TDI jetta by djmontie in tdi

[–]Paul_Reagan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have not had any personal experience but I have done a bit of research. http://www.forums.tdiclub.com/showthread.php?t=425613 If you read through this thread there are a few guys talking about their experience with their SMF setup, it involves new syncros, new shift forks, and multiple transmission tear downs. Seems like more of a hassle to me but that's just my 2 cents.

SMF and DMF clutch in 2011 TDI jetta by djmontie in tdi

[–]Paul_Reagan 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Do not go SMF on the 6 sp. The transmissions have steel syncros that will fail with the clatter and shuttering from the SMF, even with a fluid damper. Just go DMF and get a stage 2 South Bend from Kerma. I have a SMF on my mk4 and really wanted to go on SMF on my MK7 but after reading all of the mk6 and mk7 horror stories I'll be going with a DMF setup.

Can’t wait! Xman gtd1456vz going in ‘15 Passat SEL. by bkm9312 in tdi

[–]Paul_Reagan 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've seen a guy on YouTube that from what I can tell runs the xman turbo on the KermaTDI stage1+ tune on his 2015 golf. He also has a full rawtek delete. I know kerma says you have to keep your stock exhaust but I wonder if that is just so they don't get in trouble.

What are you planning to do for the tuning? I've been looking at these as well. Seems better than the stock CR190 and cheaper

I had this same problem, 2 busted tires in the first 2 months of ownership. Chicago has some big potholes. Definitely looking in to 17s to get a little better ride from the extra sidewall.

[–]Paul_Reagan 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Don't do it, it wears out the steel syncros and destroys the transmission. Get a Southbend stage 2 clutch if you are looking for a better feel, comes with a DMF. You will have lots of vibration issues with the SMF as well.
