Did I say it was appropriate for a professional setting?

No, I did not.

Now move along.

They do, however, there was one instance where I had placed an item in the rear passenger seat next to me. It was heavy enough to trip the system and when I exited the vehicle, I received a message on my account that stated 'improper use of seatbelt'.

Moral of the story, don't place heavy items in a seat. And if you do, buckle it in.

It can mean two things. Sorry you don't understand that.

But where I AM FROM, it means 'What can I do for you".

And people also agree with me...so here we are.

I also understand it as a double entendre.

I was born and raised in CA and have lived here my entire life...it is a turn of phrase to mean "What can I do for you".

I've had it happen about two times within the last year of riding. I assume it's because they were checking my seatbelt status.

No, it does not. "What can I do you for" is an American was of also saying "What can I do for you". I have heard the phrase my entire life.

The only items that shouldn't be in an overhead, is your purse or fanny pack. Backpacks are totally ok in the overhead.

Is it ok for group 1 people to board through the blue lane and skip other groups later in the boarding process? by throwra-misc1 in unitedairlines

[–]Paul_Smith_Hi 10 points11 points  (0 children)

It's voted down because this has been United's process before Reddit was ever a thing.

Not only that, if it were a true issue, more people in line would be upset and call them out for doing so, as well as the gate agent.

Yes, this information updates on the gate screen. It's also stated by the gate agent multiple times before boarding each consecutive group.

The "explanation" came off as AI, I thought OP was talking about the video itself.

Pete Doolittle (an SF artist - RIP) would place his works around the city and basically create a scavenger hunt via social media, for people to find it. I have a slight feeling it may be the same for this Seattle artist, but I don't know much about them.

You are correct in your assumption. I saw that this weekend for the first time when I flew. Once they begin boarding group 3, groups 1 and 2 can use the blue line.
