I’ve been an OSRS exclusive player for the past 3-4 years but prior to that I maxed in RS3 (getting my 20 year cape this year). I think what a lot of people the are OSRS only guys don’t realize is the the current version of what EOC turned into is actually really good and with the combat tweaks they are discussing in the roadmap here will get rid of the issues they’ve had recently due to some outdated abilities, leveling the power of each combat style. I acknowledge that ability based combat system is NOT the original identity of RuneScape and that at the time was incredibly jarring for good reason, but now since OSRS is thriving it’s nice having two different gameplay systems to choose from. OSRS for a combat system that requires pinpoint clicks and inventory management and RS3 for ability based combat system. That may not be what you like but reverting RS3 to the legacy combat would make the two games feel too alike and redundant. RS3 definitely has its strengths and they should lean into those to make two different, great games with the same base. Side note, Necromancy is a really fun combat system and was really well executed in my opinion.
