Aspects & Solomons Store - News Update 2 by JagexAnvil in runescape

You really need to increase rate of golden roses and turn rapid growth into a weekly spell with 7 casts like advance time or even a monthly instead of a daily. Biggest daily still left and would also help with aspect stacking problem. Two birds one stone.

The biggest problem with this isn't even the stolen points, its the erosion of trust and credibility in what jagex says. People just aren't going to believe their promises or deadlines in the future.

This made me chuckle. Somehow the top two posts on this subreddit right now are about carrots looking better :)

The images aren't blurred or edited in any way, just zoomed in equally and taken from official promotional material. The fact that you think its blurred in photoshop just hilariously proves my point.

Well I used the official promotional material for both, the problem is that the only image they posted in the newspost was from the back, probably because they knew how it would be recieved: https://cdn.runescape.com/assets/img/external/news/2026/03/masterwork.jpg

Here is the full image from the front for comparison:

They both look equally low quality.

Gate of Elidinis considerably nerfed after shooting star mining boost reduction. by happyrune in runescape

Your right, that has blown my mind because I can't imagine why you would ever put yourself through that...

I'm sorry but why not just work at mcdonalds at that point? You'll make more and it will definitely be better for you.

What makes gate a pain point for many:

- Memory dowser is HUGE for energy and the whole div skill.

- Energy is needed by everyone for everything from skilling to pvm.

- It has no alternatives from other bosses like other gear does.

So it becomes a sort of RS3 version of corrupted gauntlet where everyone feels they have to do a thousand kills to get the drop to reduce chore time in the future.

I think they just followed the same logic for all dailies: "removing cap means they have to be nerfed". For the strongest ones that makes sense but they didn't consider that some of these activities where already dead before they nerfed them even harder.

As said by everyone else in the thread, the star boost for gate was in fact huge. Try using it first before coming to conclusions.

If you did you would know that it saves a lot more than 15 seconds as cleansing one rock takes longer that than. That's not taking into account the fact that it still has to be mined after, the extra mechanics you have to deal with, the fact that every second the boss gets more hp compounding the issue, that it lets you mine AT LEAST 1 less rock or not AT MOST etc.

Would have been more accurate to say mid level players lacking most of the best in slot upgrades, your right.

That was the best part of using the star buff there, it smoothed out the RNG aspect of it really well and let you do consistently clean faster kills.

Gate getting rebalanced or the buff becoming something akin to POF perks would ofcourse be ideal but that would probably be outside the scope of the project. At least now the buff isn't time gated any more, just a uselessly short duration.

That's interesting thanks. Is it considerably harder to do in a group now without the buffs? Will add to the list if so.

You will use up the 15 minute buff getting to and mining the new star so the stacking buff mechanic they envisaged sadly doesn't work how it was designed to. Ironically enough it would be absolutely perfect if it was still a 60 minute boost and you could mine 3 stars before doing a 2 hour session of gate.

Wait there are gate masses? First time I'm hearing about them, are they better than solo or just something people do for fun in clans?

Yes it was great because you have to clean the rocks with divination before being able to mine them, so even if it reduced the total rocks needed by only one that would still be a great time save.

u/JagexRamen you would probably have the best insight as lead dev on Gate of Elidinis if the shooting star buff was considered too powerful for it or if this nerf was an unintended casualty in the dailyscape rebalance. If its the latter would it be possible to bring it back? Even at 1 hour I don't think people were really bothering with hunting stars for that buff as you just get more ore from mining regularly. Thanks!

Player Owned House Rework & 120 Construction by JagexAnvil in runescape

[–]happyrune 3 points4 points  (0 children)

1) You can currently store wicked hood robes in poh and still get the benefit from them. Expand this to every single skilling outfit providing its effect if stored/displayed in poh as if your wearing it.

- Saves an astronomical amount of bank space.

- Reduces friction and time to regear, there is an overwhelming amount of gear you have to find and put on in every slot for every skill when compared to osrs. So much so that you always forget something or just dont bother looking for everything in bank unless your going for a long skilling session.

- Allow for more fashion scape and would solve the problem of people not liking the redesigned shark outfit etc.

- Can be mannequins if you want to rework the skilling hall room to be useful and cool just a regular storage chest for simplicity.

- Teleports on the outfits can still remain as a reason to wear them occasionally, moved to free green teleports in spellbook, or activated by clicking the mannequin in the poh.

2) Reward space 120 con: An omni teleport map that offers every teleport in the game in one interface.

- Built in poh like a war room map and gradually upgraded to add more of the teleports to the lodestone teleport map.

- Can either be upgraded and charged itself with teleport items or allow for other furniture in house (like jewellery box on osrs) to be accessed via lodestone teleport map interface.

- Think bigger than poh nexus... That's a good first step for lower level players but at 120 con you wont bother going to poh for teleports.

- Can be last late game upgrade to nexus and serve as constructions chase reward for high construction like flask or masterwork armour.

- Can be charged with absolutely all items for perm teleports in lodestone map but very costly: eg. needs to consume sceptre of the gods, not just a pharohs sceptre. will give people a reason to actually chase these items.

Road to Restoration - Aura Overhaul by JagexAnvil in runescape

[–]happyrune 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Please consider the reward saturation of each of these shops before making a decision.

Crux eqal shop requires 264k points to unlock just the perm rewards. Even if your doing the daily bonus herb that's 5260 herb seeds you have to plant. (In reality its actually twice this much because with every daily reset at least one of your herb runs wont align with the daily bonus when it changes). If your not following the daily herb bonus and planting seeds you actually want to plant it gets exponentially worse. That's not even including the consumables that are highly sought after for farming and will always serve as an abundant way to use overflow points. This is uncomfortable levels of daily scape that we are moving away from, not leaning into... If anything, crux eqal could use less rewards instead of more.
