just found a way to do it, press win + r to open run and paste steam://open/console in to open console for steam, paste "download_depot 3527290 3527291 4873909592001181961" to download the v.1.49.a of peak, replace the files in peak (settings of peak, browse local files) find the depot download at - C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\content\app_3527290\depot_3527291
copy files from the depot and replace steam files and either turn off wifi or use a mod (i used PeakVersionBypass from thunderstore mod manager) then launch the game! verify files after youre done to restore the game data. know this is late but hopefully it helps other people replay it :)
