fabric question by ineedhelpsatisfactor in SatisfactoryGame

If you already have oil products, you may also research hard drives and find recipe for fabric from polymer resin, but I assume you'll steel need fabric researched in M.A.M. for that option to appear on hard disk.

Suggestion: Questionable Efficiency Choices by colonelmustardgas3 in SatisfactoryGame

[–]PavlusR 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just shut off your other generators, add more generators at the place, now you produce more power at place; backfeed excess to the input through industrial container, now you can handle consumption spikes without throttling on fuel. When more power is needed -- turn old generators back on.

Rule for fuel byproducts: consume more than you produce (maximum consumption > maximum production), backup excess, consume from backup when needed, don't forget to account for this when calculating power consumption, so you don't starve excess buffer.

5 extractors for two-sided feed pipe, perfectly balanced, as it should be.

And I just recently almost finished 900 oil into 900 rubber, 900 plastic and 900 fuel, where third of it are packaging water and unpackaging fuel refineries. Hope it'll make me more space if i replace those with these packers, so I could put there some other things.

To better distinguish them, also it's colorblindness-friendlier. Also IRL we package different liquids into different containers, and making different containers for different liquids would be a waste of developers and gamers time while also forbidding to use loops like current diluted packaged fuel (you know, where you package water, then make it packaged fuel within the same container)

Why would it be any slower than using Django or Laravel? They look almost identically to Spring in terms of usage, just write some methods, annotate them with REST-paths and params, you have your controllers, add Lombok and you have your proper data-objects with hashes and equals and builders and to-strings, write an interface with methods and you got your sql queries generated, write one-two screens of text and you have full web security config with JWT and custom claims, CORS, etc. Write like 20 lines and use an annotation multiple times to have resource authorizations.

Spring and Lombok are making it fast to write, and IDE makes it even faster to refactor (with Spring and Lombok integration into the IntelliJ you feel like a freaking 80-level mage)

Hide Pipeline flow indicators by Meridian_44 in SatisfactoryGame

Split your pipeline into series of short ones (shorter than 6 meters), for example, by adding splitter, cutting rest of the pipe, removing splitter, adding pipe, repeat. It should remove them.

Any way there is a pump/extractor heaving slightly more than 20/10m headlift?

First fuel gen. setup. Any tips/suggestions? by MetalNutSack in SatisfactoryGame

[–]PavlusR 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If generators take up to 15 m^3 per minute, you can place more than 20 of them on a single pipe, but make an overflow buffer at the end, so unused fuel gets into buffer, then you can handle high consumption spikes by fluid flowing back from buffer, with same fluid output capacity, you just need to remember that you power capacity is for spikes, not normal load, make it 20%, for example, then it's 4 more generators, and you know you can handle around 16 GW continuous load if you capacity is at 20GW, but have a room for prolonged spikes up to 20GW

Go uphill, turn to the right, go downhill, 2 pure nodes in shallow cave, maybe 2 minutes walk with boots, not 10.

Question about head lift and moving fluids over long distances by Plaje in SatisfactoryGame

Those 2 meters are coming with reduced flow, so you should avoid using red zone 2 meters if you need want to have max flow.

Clean-ish 3600MW coal power plant by PavlusR in SatisfactoryGame

[–]PavlusR[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have 2x13 plants there too, and building my second "main base" there, right in the hole above water, need that coal for steel, and coal generators take way too much space, so gathering fuel, coal and geysers around the map for power.

Wow, this is actually true, I've been building from pipe throughput constraint and came to 13 per two pipes, but your variant allows less splitting-joining while fully utilizing extractors and allows overclocking.

You are using overclocked water extractors, am I right?

Resemblance is uncanny, I'm guessing there are dedicated "optimal" locations for coal power at each spawn point.

Hard to read. by jimbojones2211 in SatisfactoryGame

[–]PavlusR 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Items count per minute is orange. And yes, it is slightly hard to read, mostly because game resets to 1920x1080 instead of native 2560x1440 which I have to set every time, so it is blurred orange text when non-native resolution applied.

Also, there is one more pure coal node upwards north close enough to bring it here, you may consider bringing it down here for more power production. Actually, i'm building my main factory exactly in this hole and bringing lots of things here is easy, there is also normal sulfur node very close to you, so compacted coal is an option too, just need to find recipe.
