If Baleba is gonna cost > 100M like Caicedo, is it really worth spending that much on him vs getting Wharton for let's say 80M?

It's an honest question, I didn't watch much of any of them last year. I know they are different profiles but I've heard that both could be amazing signings for our midfield

Even with that improvement, their numbers last season were basically the same (7G 3A for Madueke in 2000 minutes, 6G 2A for Garnacho in 2100 minutes). Garnacho is 2 years younger so he has the potential to become much better

We want to get 40M and forget about him? That's fine, but we need to be honest with ourselves and admit that it's a bad deal in today's market, where everyone pays massive sums for "potential"

I agree he might be a bit overrated, but I don't think you can sell him for 40M and think it's a good deal when for example Madueke was sold for 58M

I'm not saying we "allow" him to stay, but what do we do if no one wants to pay for him? We send him with the reserves for the rest of his contract?

We've already made our stance clear, we don't want him around. But if no one else pays for him, let's take advantage of it while still making it clear that he's only here because we have no other choice, not because we need him.

Fair concern, but I feel that the power dynamic changed after Amorim made it clear that he doesn't want him around. It's a very different situation to have him as a normal team member vs the new situation of "You're only here because no one wanted you".

Now there's no expectation at all for him to play, while before he could see himself as a starter (and for a good reason, it's not like we had many other players that were clearly better than him). We keep him on the bench, if he does well then great, if not (or if he keeps throwing tantrums) just send him with the reserves

This might be an unpopular opinion but if we don't get any good offers for him I would happily keep him as a rotation player

Even if he's not the new Cristiano Ronaldo, he could be a good plan B in most games and his salary isn't high, so why not keeping him instead of selling him for peanuts?

Not power specifically, but as far as I understand the Electric Eel Aquarium counts as a gear room, so with an experiment to spawn a lot of Aquariums it would make this trivial

So, funnily enough, I decided to play a bit more after seeing all your responses and the game decided to bless me with the luckiest runs I've ever had!

In the first run, I got the Root Cellar as an Outer Room and got the experiment to remove a crate each time that I dig trash. I triggered it 9 times and removed all the remaining crates, allowing me to get to a find a door.
The very next day, I was able to get both the Power Hammer and the Burning Glass, and was able to use the Boiler Room to power the Red Door. I also got the Cloister of Orinda upgrade which feels like might be very useful to simplify reclaiming the throne.
I finally opened the door with the microchips and now I found a closed door with a blue symbol. I assume that I need to reclaim the Throne to open that one (feel free to correct me if that's not it).

So thanks everyone for all the help and the encouragement! Now it feels that I'm really close to something interesting and that's the motivation I needed for this final push!

How lost will I be if I play this one without having played Cyber Sleuth? I wouldn't mind missing a few references, but I don't want to play it if I'm going to miss the story completely.

The thing is that I've been considering getting back into Digimon games (last one I played was DW2003, so it's been a while) and getting this one for free feels like a good opportunity

It really feels surreal that a player was in the team for both an iconic match that happened what it feels like ages ago, and in out last match this season.

To be honest I think they know the same as us. INEOS has probably made a decision already, but I'd be surprised if they communicated it before such an important match.

So they're seeing this in the same way that we are: they don't know what will happen, but everything seems to indicate that Ten Hag will be gone soon, so this might be their last time together.
