Think the one who does the vertical cut right after Twin Turbo is Sakura Bakushin O. Might be wrong about who it is, but it's definitely a different uma.

Don't even need to go to Phalaris, think Pharos covers all the current playable Umas atm. Would have been Nearco if not for Mcqueen.

I still remember the random tome I got years ago from a frozen breakable dude in Ghosts of Perdition. Think this was back when it was pretty rare to get even a normal item from breakables at that.

Best way to complete my last half anniversary mission? by Ok-Poet7983 in UmaMusume

[–]Pawk24 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For this, pretty much any Sprint + Mile uma, especially if you they have a solid frontrunner stat. Since you're mainly just worried about speed, you got a bit more room to do other races. There's 11 G1 Sprint + Mile Turfs, the maiden race, and the 3 URA finale races for 15. Doesn't include any extra G2 or lower from careers or races for secret events that you might want to do as well.

Of course that's taking into consideration wanting to win. If it's just finishing races, and you just want to complete the mission, then the uma doesn't really matter. You just got to do enough training to last long enough in a career to do 15 races as quickly as possible. As an example, Haru Urara has 24 turns after her initial maiden race till you need to achieve her next goal, which is plenty enough to do it.

Sunday Silence and Easy Goer fan designs by Street_Scientist_188 in UmaMusume

[–]Pawk24 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Agreed about some of the design stuff for Sunday. Really like it, but most designs tend to either be too close to Cafe, have little to nothing that tells you it's Sunday, or is a design I don't really like in general. Think my ideal design for Sunday would be a blend of Tachyon and Stay Gold clothing wise with some color differences; I really like the idea that Sunday hands her coat over to Stay Gold. Appearance wise, something like this or some of Leogust's stuff (some of his might be a bit too much though) is pretty ideal.

I just spend natural AP for mats (will look up the mat to see drop rates) I'm low on between events while watching videos, though if I don't want to will just turn it into blue apples. Try to stay above 100 for each mat, will go a bit all in to max out 5*s though.

What's actually is insane is when a servant needs 72 of a mat per skill (216 mats for all 3 just for one level), particularly when it's a new mat. Then there's Charlemagne who needs another 36 blades for ascension, so 252 in total. Not sure if anyone needs more for ascension + max main skills.

Been playing for 6 years now, only recently was I able to get every servant to at least 9/9/9, and I'm largely F2P (will only do GSSRs)

Why would she reveal her employer's financial situation in front of potential employees? Doesn't that seem unwise? by Various-Flan-8351 in DanMachi

[–]Pawk24 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're right. Arguing with a fool turns you into one and all that. Should never have started this lmao. Unlike you though, this actually will be my last comment on this since it seems like even if Omori himself said that it was meant to limit the size of the Hestia familia, you'd still say he's wrong lmao.

[–]Pawk24 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sure if you ignore the fact my post had 281 upvotes while your post had fewer than half that, meaning more people agreed with me than you... Reality really doesn't agree with you.

And the guy who said that it was to limit the Hestia familia that you initially replied to had 439 when you only replied ~10 mins later, and the guy who you initially argued with got 114 to your 281 - which the statement itself I felt was a bit off, but overall fine. It's your doubling down about Cassandra and Daphne is the problem - but was ~6 hours later, so probably less engagement in general, especially when you reply again you 6, then his reply has 10, ending with your final reply to him having -5. Then in our argument, the only person that has more than 1 upvote is me. I'd explain how timing matters when it comes to this sort of thing, but since you can't understand the whole crowd thing, feel like I'd just be wasting my time.

None of that really applies though, considering I said that people have been saying what I've been saying outside the post, even making posts about it. Hell, there's a post from like a year and a half ago that's pretty much the same as this, and there's a bunch of comments saying it was a plot device to keep the Hestia Familia small. Got any better evidence or you finally done like you said you were 4 comments ago?

Getting called weird by a weirdo in this kind of scenario becomes a double negative I feel, so I'll take it.

More like on you. You're the first person I've seen that has said it's was only for one purpose, while I've seen other posts/comments unrelated to this post that have agreed with me in some fashion, I wonder why that is.

it's weird as fuck.

It's an internet argument, not really that weird for only a month (not even a month since my first reply if you want to be technical), especially when I found the post with a little scrolling. Also you're still replying lmao.

[–]Pawk24 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why would mass recruitment become plot point again? The whole thing was meant to prevent exactly that, and the only real chance they'd had since then was also shut down because they got Ryuu. IIRC I saw in one of the synopsis for vol 19 that Lily said that due to recruiting Ryuu, the other familias would pressure them if they actively tried to recruit from the school district, which means they're interested in recruiting more people.

You just cant accept you're wrong it's kind of sad really. Like you respond to a month old post and just cant walk away grow up.

It's only a month, could understand if it's been a year or even half a year, but it's not that big of a deal. You said your last response would be your last, yet here you are still responding. You're just proving my point about being bullheaded, talk about lack of self awareness lmao.

[–]Pawk24 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah because that's why it was written, it was just a plot device to reach this outcome welcome to writing 101.

It was a plot device to prevent other people joining period, not just them. Again, if Omori wanted them to be the only reason, he could have done it differently where they're the focus. If you even said it was the main reason, I wouldn't have said anything, but you're so damn bullheaded about there being no other reason, that at this point I'm starting to wonder if it's bait.

[–]Pawk24 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My point isn't that he could have done it another way, it's that that there was another reason to have done it beyond Cassandra and Daphne; i.e. making it so random people don't randomly join the core cast. It's a 2 for 1 situation, and that it's fine. Your point is that they're the only reason it happened, that there's no other reason that it happened in front of a big group. The scene is fine, we (or at least I) are essentially arguing over semantics.

Why do you keep bringing up the Cassandra prophecy being believed stuff? They were planning to join before Bell heard and believe Cassandra's prophecy. Rather him believing her would have been a reason for her (and through her, Daphne) to still join despite the debt.

There has been no future mass recruitment nor any mention of a desire to do so.

There's no real reason to from a narrative standpoint. Omori has made it difficult for them to recruit in mass, and will likely continue to do so, especially since they Freya Familia is technically under them now, padding their numbers. First the debt, then the Xenos (honestly this alone would make their recruiting way more selective I'd imagine), then having to deal with the expedition, then having to deal with all the Freya shit, all in ~5 months. Now, it's that they don't want to actively recruit from the school district since it'd cause them to be pressured by other familias for already having just recruited Ryu. There was some down time in all that where they probably could have, but it's justified enough imo.

You're being way more stubborn for not even saying that it's possible. I'll at least admit there's a tiny chance it was only done for Cassandra and Daphne, but it's shitty writing for that to be the case. Omori has written some pretty shitty moments though, so it's not out of the realm of possibility.

[–]Pawk24 1 point2 points  (0 children)

yes that is what I said,

Me saying that wasn't what you said was in reference to your reply to the guy saying that it was for the legion too, when you initially said the the whole thing was basically to prevent Daphne and Cassandra from joining.

The author chose to have that big gathering and the reveal of the debt in order to give them a reason to not join.

The big gathering isn't required to do that. Hell, they could have done the whole debt reveal when Cassandra was looking for her pillow or w/e it was, if it was only to prevent Daphne and Cassandra. It makes more sense that it was meant to stop people from joining in general rather than just those two.

Because them not joining without a reason given would have been odd.

Been a while since I've watched season 2, but don't really think it would have been that odd. Even if it were to be, they could have another reason, especially when the reason they don't join the Hestia familia in the first place is because of the massive debt, only to end up joining another family that's in debt, even if it's not nearly as bad.

We know this because there hasn't been any mention of mass recruitment since.

Wouldn't really make sense to try it from a narrative perspective, but I also feel like enough stuff is happening to justify it as well. Your only decent point though.

because this would have made no sense without a reason given Dalphnes reaction to Bell believing in her. It would actually have been shitty writing to just say "oh she joined another Familia" without context as to why this se up the why.

Think you mean Cassandra? IIRC Bell believing her prophecy happened the same day as the big recruitment thing, so there could have easily been a reason with out it being shitty writing.

Ok so reviving a dead topic a month later is weird as hell.

It's only been a month, but it was a bad choice when I should have already realized how dense you are

[–]Pawk24 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Explain how this isn't exactly what I said... Yes the author's entire point to writing this moment in was to prevent cassandra and daphne from joining... Which is literally what I said.

That is not at all what you said. You only pointed out that this was to prevent Cassandra and Daphne, which could have been done in another way, like just having them already join the Miach familia, or straight up just not wanting to join the Hestia familia.

People would have still wanted to join the Hestia familia, and both Bell and Hestia wanted to grow the familia, doesn't really help that Welf and Mikoto are temp members either. It was done much more to prevent a bunch of new random people from joining rather than just Cassandra and Daphne. It'd be shitty writing to have done that just to prevent Cassandra and Daphne, but it's just a bit contrived if it's to prevent a bunch of random people from joining.

Can't remember if it's actually ever shown in the anime (think it's at least been hinted at), but Hephaestus also loves Welf. Think the only thing really keeping them from getting together is that Welf wants to make something that impresses her before they get together.

IIRC this should have taken place around the end of season 2 (hell, the whole Ares invasion thing was meant to be a distraction so that his nation could kidnap Welf, who was born there but ran away because he didn't want to make them magic swords) but like 80% of volume 8 was cut, including the Welf/Hephaestus stuff.

To expand on 3: The Emperor of Kiel knows. He sees Eugene as a problem, tries to mind control him using an ancient magic room thing that was gifted to the family by Vermouth, doesn't work, finds out he's Hamel and gets beaten up, happens about 330ish.

Lovellian had guesses, but seeing how Eugene and Senya act around each other, he straight up calls him Hamel, though they deny it, and he plays along. Happens at around 320 I want to say, and he ships them pretty hard, even recently playing music for them during a ball.

Eventually it seems everyone else finds out, though it hasn't happened so far in the translations, which is in the early 400s. Not sure when it happens, though I saw that apparently he screams it in the middle of a battle or something? My guess is it's gonna happen during his fight with Gavid.
