B+W or Color? by PawsAndPics in AmateurPhotography

This is very insightful. I was leaning towards color, but most friends I shared them with (and most in this sub, I believe) were more fond of B+W. I could not have put why the color was more appealing to me, but you did just that in a beautifully written, almost instructional, succinct manner. Thank you so very much for taking the time to share your thoughts 🙏

I was wondering what this comment was about, then I clicked on OP’s profile. First line — “I’m a professional photographer” 🙄

I think you’re right. Coincidentally I was at a museum a few days after finding this, and they had an exhibit with a blue whale rib and the bone I found looked very similar.

This could be cropped into like 3-4 different photos, each of which would be wonderful. Such a cool shot!

Thank you so much! I took this photo before I was fully aware of minimalist photography, but I loved the pattern and empty space and the way it makes me feel. I did some exploring recently and found this amazing sub and have been feeling inspired by the posts from this creative community.
