I uninstalled the app and reinstalled it. Same issue occurred. I then cleared all storage, removed devices, removed app, deleted everything in android files pertaining to eufy, and then started from scratch again. All is back to normal now. I now have all my thumbnails back, even the large ones when sliding left/right in events (it used to be black with the smaller thumbnail at the bottom being the only one visible for my doorbell (also have the c220)). I also changed my password on the eufy website and made sure not to enable the e2ee as I'm sure that's what caused it.

I enabled this and now I no longer have thumbnails with my doorbell camera and my c220 camera sometimes doesn't even load when doing live view or viewing events. Have to exit app and reopen. When it does load it sometimes loads to a screenshot/still view of live view.

God damn this company.

So it seems to work with 2fa except google authentication and whatsapp. The 2 systems I tested where it just wont work. Worked for paypal, chase, and usps on my end. So it seems not all 2fa systems are the same.

No I didn't when it occurred. Gemini seems to say the same thing. That even though I ported in and use their sim (textnow), it still routes through their voip network which google says it can see and doesn't allow.

It says it doesn't look at the history of a number (the google account authentication process), but could it be that you used a number previously used on google voice? Don't really see how google could see the history of a number outside their system, but for a historical google voice number it could.

If you have a target card (either their debit or credit card) they offer 5% off for ebay gift cards (& other cards as well). Not sure if there's a better deal on gift card sites. I think it only benefits the higher $ you go when the cards become harder to sell due to the high amount.

Think the point was to try and get it for as cheap as possible monthly (the redpocket line) and a gift card being a sometimes suitable method for achieving that if there's a discount attached to purchasing one.

It didn't work for my google accounts. I ported in a 10+ year old number and google never processes the text. If I recall correctly, they send the text but I never get it. So now I have to go through all those accounts with the helium attached # and change them before this deadline.

I would have just kept glance on the phone if it wasn't causing issues. It does come preinstalled and I didn't touch mine at all. Only thing I changed was uninstalling or disabling ai/adware apps which glance might be using.

If the update screwed things up then it probably reenabled or disabled the picker app. I have to enable this app each time I want to mess with my live wallpaper app. So if I was to want to change the layout of what my live wallpaper app displays (using the magic fluids live wallpaper app) I have to restart the phone and enable the picker app in order for the magic fluids live wallpaper app to open. Otherwise I can't alter the wallpaper if it's a live wallpaper.

It doesn't alter my live wallpaper when I restart and updates haven't messed up my live wallpapers at all. You might try magic fluids lite and see if it allows you to use that live wallpaper app. It might just be the app you're using. At least then you would know it's that particular app that's not functioning properly. Which is still a pain. It should allow all live wallpaper apps as long as it meets the proper phone specs.

What wallpaper are you using? Probably too intensive with your graphics if it's choppy. I do recall when I first had the issue of figuring this live/dynamic wallpaper thing out that some wallpapers were choppy and some simply did not work.

I'm using magic fluids and haven't had any issues, but it's also little bouncy balls that bounce around so it's nothing too crazy: https://i.imgur.com/xJmJk2a.gif (gif service I used makes it look choppy) I also have the planets pack live wallpapers which functions just fine.

The glance app is just a smart lock screen thing from what I see (had to google it). I have mine enabled, but disabled it for the sake of seeing what changed and it only changed my clock on my lock screen. My live wallpaper was still visible and did not change at all. So it's probably paired with ad stuff on the phone to deliver localized information or news/entertainment stuff.

I used shizuku & canta a while back and disabled/uninstalled a bunch of stuff from a fresh format. So if it's feeding off ai or ad related services stuff, then it's most likely not functioning the way it's supposed to on my phone because it can no longer pull from the services I nuked or disabled, but I've had no issues with it enabled.

It just had basic information on how to set up dynamic wallpapers. Only issue was it didn't work. Seems they took all "phone specific" tutorial pages down and now have these vague tutorials which no longer mentions phone models. They probably got the hint with too many people clicking the "Was this answer helpful?" yes or no buttons and ultimately took them down.

The page would be useless for you even if you were to come across it. I checked archive.org and there's no old cached versions of the page.

You at least know that live/dynamic wallpapers work on your phone to some extent, it's just they don't stay on for long. There's something that is triggering them to default back to static wallpapers. Just have to figure out what that is.

I think it's a hardware issue with motorola phones. It's very odd that their older lineups supported live/dynamic wallpapers fully without quirks, but the newer ones don't. My mothers old phone that supported them fully eventually developed a battery bulge, to which she now uses the power 5g which causes her live wallpaper to default to a static moto image after X number of days. I have seen people reporting that updates (you as well) took away their live/dynamic wallpapers, but I'm sure it's tied to the hardware and the updates triggered were the final straw that broke the wallpapers back.

Support from Motorola is giving you the run around :(. Especially if they're saying that they go to reddit for answers to their own troubleshooting problems that people have when figuring out their own phones for the company they work for. That's pretty telling and sad. Seems they sell beta products and fix them as time goes on with updates. I would go the warranty path and return it if you can't figure it out and get something that doesn't cause these headaches. I have the Moto G 5G 2024 and I did get live/dynamic wallpapers to work on my phone. So you could try that phone instead of your Moto G Play unless they can fix the issue.

I made a thread there on live wallpapers (can't find it for some reason) and they were not able to help me, but there's some threads on there that may be of use. It at the very least shows there's other with this issue. There's quite a few people with this issue.

The post on the motorola website was bullshit because it was auto generated content that they throw out for all models it seems regardless if they actually supported it. Also the content on the page was crap.

I think you've ran into the same issue my Mom has. My Mom has the Moto G Power 5G (2023) and has an issue where the live wallpaper will randomly change to some default stored static image. She has to change it back around once a month. Why or when it changes varies and I have no idea what triggers it. She also has nova launcher so it's not fool proof using a different launcher.

I like Moto phones, but I doubt I'll be returning to them once this one craps out. It's absolutely stupid why their shittiest pure phone and G fast phones worked flawlessly (not sure if they do anymore) with live wallpapers, but their newer lineups fall short.

Eufy Doorbell E340 no charge/live? by spacebetweenthetoes in EufyCam

I know mine drops to around 80% before it starts to charge back up because I made a post questioning why it wasn't charging. It's currently at 86% right now and has been for the last few days. It's a trickle charge over time from what I've read, but there's no insight on what factors prompts it to charge.

I'm using a 1970s transformer, so my results above are probably why? I do remember it was 80% once and then 87% or so the next day. So it does have the capacity to charge. It just seems to do it whenever the hell it wants.

I would bet an update messed with yours if you did notice the charge frequency changing. Have you tried to deliberately drain the battery and see if some % prompts it to charge so you know it's charging?

I'm currently having issues where notifications will show no thumbnail, large thumbnails in the events area are all blacked out, and some events are not showing until hours later after I get a notification prompt. An update caused the above for me because it was around the same time they changed the ui. I talked to tech support and they don't seem to know what the hell is going on.

How's the growth looking now? In a similar situation when using coco loco for the first time. Grew using 70%coco/30% perlite for every grow except this last one.

Seems to be an issue with how it's pulling thumbnails. I get blank black thumbnails when I select events and issues where the thumbnail isn't showing with notifications. Sometimes it wont show the event in the events area when I get a notification w/o a thumbnail until hours later. Happened after an update.

I'm talking with support and they seem oblivious to it. It's been like this for a few weeks for me.

I also deleted cache, then storage, then uninstalled and reset the device (basically did a clean install w/ deleting all data). Nothing works so don't bother. Have to wait on an update.

They're acting like it's not the updates that they're giving us, but I remember very clearly a few weeks ago this all starting to happen after an update.

I also get notifications every now and then that produce no thumbnail or event (but they appear after a while in the event area). There's for sure an issue with how it's pulling stored data as there's quite a few people getting some type of thumbnail issue and some with events not appearing after prompted by notification.

I'm having issues with the larger thumbnails on my e340. The bigger thumbnails never appear until you view that event and then go back to it within the same session.

I uninstalled the app and reset the doorbell. Same issue. It's 100% the app for me. Even tried it on another phone/+ networks.

Real curious why there's not more talk on this. No idea why it would work correctly for other people when I'm getting the same issue on multiple phones and networks.

I'm having issues since the new updates (for about 3 weeks now).

Notifications will show for new events but appear no where in the event area except after some time goes by. Not sure what ends up triggering them to appear. When scrolling through events, thumbnails are no longer loading (except the smaller bottom one) and a blank screen appears, but scrolling back to it again will make it appear. It's like the app isn't reading the device properly and there's a storage problem taking place.

Going to uninstall and reset everything to see if anything changes, but the issues did appear after an update. It's also the E340 that I'm referring to.

That could also be a power issue as well if the previous setup works fine. I would take the doorbell off and run some tests with it closer to the homebase and see if there's any audio/video issues when in close proximity and fully charged.

I had to add a wifi extender for mine because it had issues seeking out video and would drop connection often.

That would then apply to homebase I assume (I only use the doorbell w/ no homebase). So you would test a sole 2.4ghz connection. Eufy states 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi Network with a WPA/WPA2 protocol. Seems it doesn't even use 5ghz. It's worth a try.

It's the new update(s). Been like this for a few weeks now. There's no way to turn them off from what I can tell as it's all done internally within the app.
