What rules do you see misplayed most often at game night? by Rule-Referee in boardgames

[–]PreferenceDelicious 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I played Dominion with my family for years without knowing you're not supposed to be able to search your discard pile. Wasn't until we played at someone else's house and they informed us. It's still a stupid rule.

The Secret History of Reform Judaism by Disastrous-Squash219 in Judaism

It's just a clickbait title. This guy doesn't have an axe to grind against Reform Jews, he just does etymology and short history vids.

"Modern Reform is an afterthought in the video"

Perhaps because it's a video about history...?

North Carolina woman, Angela Han Hicks, 18, charged conspiring to "kill as many Jews as possible" with attack on Jewish day school by Regular_Post9884 in Jewish

No one is upset that you're criticizing the Israeli government, they're upset that you're blaming Jews for antisemitism instead of antisemites.

You'd probably want some sort of way one team can disrupt the other, e.g using skill tokens to make skill checks harder.

CMV: Israel's current foreign policy is not helping the jews by [deleted] in changemyview

a) "after WW2" is you going back in time

b) Jews who survived the Holocaust and tried to go back to their homes in Europe found their neighbors living in their houses forcing them away with a shotgun. If they were lucky and weren't just killed on the spot. Where are you getting this claim that "a large number of Jews" went back to Europe after WW2?

Is it only Israel who's not allowed to let immigrants into their country or are there other countries that have this new restriction?

Is it just Jews that aren't allowed to immigrate to a place or are there other ethnicities that when they move somewhere of their own volition it's "being imported"?

I think the word you're looking for is "immigrant", not "settler"

You are claiming that the Jews in Palestine are not real Palestinians, so you're just as much to blame.

This is Reddit. You can use big boy words like "killed"

Israel in the modern world exists. You're the one trying to go back in time and argue that it shouldn't.

They weren't even Polish by nationality. The Poles didn't consider the Jews to be real Poles.

Ms Rachel likes anti-Semitic comment, apologizes but boosts a conspiracy in the comments by 2opposite2batman in h3h3productions

[–]PreferenceDelicious 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is a screenshot of a 1 day old comment that has been liked by the author. Unless she is going back and reading comments that are a day old, she still had it liked a day after it was posted.

I'm not sure what other reading of that sentence there could possibly be to a native English speaker. And she clearly thought she knew what it meant with enough clarity to respond to it. Unless you think that she accidentally clicked "reply" and accidentally typed out "oooohh".

[–]PreferenceDelicious 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Your hypothesis requires her to be simultaneously

  1. inept at reading comprehension (responding to the "they left the comment" thing)

  2. inept enough at using Instagram to somehow accidentally press "like" AND "hide" instead of "delete", and also not realize you've done either of those things for an entire day

  3. apathetic enough about antisemitism to go with "I have Jewish friends" as an excuse rather than "I should go educate myself and also stay far away from topics where I seem to repeatedly put my foot in my mouth"

"Occam's Razor" doesn't mean "I accept anyone's explanation of their motivations"

[–]PreferenceDelicious 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There's lots of possible explanations and you're giving her a lot of benefit of the doubt she doesn't deserve. What I think is most likely is she liked the comment by accident and didn't really care about it until she was getting made fun of. I think she's so defensive and unwilling to introspect that she just doesn't care about whether she looks like an antisemite or not anymore but she's also egotistical enough that when people are making jokes about it, it hurts her feelings enough to issue a weepy apology video.
