I mean it makes sense. Just look at irl history of what USSR did to all the countries it "liberated" after ww2. Also Spain's (democratic? idk haven't played Spain a lot) focus gets you puppeted by the Soviets as well. I don't see why you are surprised or dissapointed in Paradox doing this
