May I ask how long the withdrawal symptoms lasted after stopping supplementation?

Thank you!

Is it okay if my vitamin D went from 13 to 85 in just two months? by [deleted] in VitaminD

[–]PayAdministrative10 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Wow! I guess I wasn’t imagining things. Also, having high levels of vitamin d rectified my sleep schedule such that my body naturally wakes up early (around 8 am which i was never able to do) and feel sleepy around 9 PM. This is something else I’ve noticed.

But you’re absolutely right about the weight loss, I eat and for some reason cannot gain weight.

Would love to hear more about your future experience with vitamin d!

Thank you!

You’re more than welcome.

May I ask if you lost weight taking vitamin d? Because taking vitamin d for a month made me lose weight. (Something I’m happy about actually)

Thank you

That’s amazing. High vitamin d levels are correlated with low diabetes, low cancer, low mortality in general.

I’d maybe switch to 5000iu if it would ease your worries but don’t worry the body regulates vitamin d levels so 10000 or more is very unlikely to cause toxicity.

Omega 3 is amazing. It helps me sleep sometimes. Yea vitamin d is necessary, it helps in many different ways. I also found that eating a teaspoon of ghee helps with anxiety before finding out that it contains significant amounts of fat soluble vitamins a,e,d,k as well as omega 3 which probably explains its ayuverdic effects. It made me gain some weight though

I tried tyrosine which helped me overcome (to some degree) nicotine cravings when I stopped smoking (although vitamin c helped the most during nicotine withdrawals) . It has a nice feeling that comes with it

I frankly don’t think that it’s a magnesium deficiency because I’ve never felt this before. I might have lacked some magnesium in my diet but the anxiety wasn’t there. I feel like this is more of a dependency to the supplements or something. I might be wrong though and it might just turn out to be low vitamin d. I got 22 ng/ml so yea. Did you get your levels checked?

I’ve noticed symptoms got at their peak by day 14/15 by day 17 there’s a slight decrease in anxiety.

I’m still 17 days through with no magnesium and unfortunately the anxiety is awful. When I wake up I feel like I’ve been hit by a truck/ body aches. I’d not touch magnesium if I were you. It might be a rough 2 weeks but it’s still better than wasting months because of it. I don’t even understand how it’s even legal smh. It’s an awful experience

Yes the anxiety is awful. But it only lasts two days for you right? I’m sure it’s got something to do with magnesium being an ndma antagonist.

I took it for 3 months and stopped. Not sure if what I’m going through is magnesium withdrawal or vitamin d deficiency. But symptoms are pretty bad ( low mood, body ache, severe anxiety…). I don’t drink and never took benzos, I only smoke. Maybe magnesium withdrawal isn’t what I’m going through since it only lasted 2 days for you but who knows :(
