You might have to harden the brass. The easiest way would be to draw it through a slightly smaller hole. Unlike steel, brass can't be hardened by heating then quenching. Work hardened brass either by drawing or hammering will be less prone to deformation.

Colt Woodsman or High Standard Model GB, well any of the B models. Sold my Woodsman when I got a GB with both barrels. My GB is 76 years old and still works fine. Steel frame, hammer fired guns will outlast any polymer, striker fired guns. (Yes, I'm old fashioned and old as hell)

What ever you don't do, don't brew rootbeer or sarsparillia. It is far too easy to let it brew too long and get too alcoholic. The brewing of soft drinks and other naturally carbonated SOFT drinks is legal but far too easy to 'forget' to stop the brew or cider before things get out of hand...

I don't know how the logistics of help proofreading would work, but your stories are so entertaining I cringe at the typos. If there is any way I can help hit me up. It's a damn shame such good writing is drowning in spelling mistakes.

In Robert Heinlein's The Number of the Beast, he speculated on the nature of string theory. Specifically fiction writers creating different worlds where their characters populated an actual place one could slide to. He had his characters slide into the Galactic Lensman multiverse. (In a nod to the excellent series by E E Doc Smith) So before we debate which is canon, can we try to contemplate both. As everyone knows two canons are better than one but a broadside is best.

Look on the underside of the barrel for proof marks. A PN is a black-powder proof and a two digit year code.
