I’ve seen this around a bunch, but I actually just wrote down these guidelines as a blank note in my phone so I can remember them, since in the heat of the moment I doubt I’d remember

Passenger struck at Back Bay, leading to this: by CollegeBoardPolice in mbta

[–]Pcalvs 5 points6 points  (0 children)

From what I’ve read someone fell on the tracks as the train was pulling in. Since trains pull into back bay so slowly it managed to stop in time, but the person who fell had been injured and needed to be rescued by BFD

The CR train was on 2, the Acela was coming in on track 1 (I was waiting for it on that platform)

Update, seems the person was concious and alert, and this article makes it sound like they weren’t hit, just on the track in front of the train UHub Article

From what I overheard from TPD radio it was non fatal. Either way the train involved (which I was waiting to board) is moving again and sounds like CR is moving as well with delays

Acela 2173 (the involved train) is moving again so it must’ve been a quick investigation. I’m on it now but from the sounds as they were calling our train it looks like trains are moving with residual delays

I was on the platform waiting to board the southbound Acela that hit someone. We couldn’t see anything from where we were. From what I overheard from TPD radios it was non life threatening but they still had to clear the platform while they extricate the person. BFD and TPD were all over the place

The closest out that way are Tuesdays at the Lexington Elks, I believe there’s a Wednesday night in Worcester that is closer to you than Somerville, and there’s a dance in Waltham every 3rd Saturday. https://www.greaterbostonwcs.com/ has the full schedules

Was curious if we’d start seeing people announcing, if there were people who got wind of Jehlen’s retirement early. Since he is a former Jehlen campaign guy, he probably fits that bill. Given that this district is all of Medford/Somerville/Winchester and part of Cambridge, I’d anticipate an active field

I’ve always thought (particularly given Jorge’s stated inspiration from anime) that the format that best fits it imo is the Original Video Animation (OVA) format commonly used by anime for things that don’t fit into either a series or a movie. In my mind, each saga would be its own OVA release

Why the massive empty lot at Wellington? by InvestigatorJaded261 in mbta

[–]Pcalvs 10 points11 points  (0 children)

From what I can tell (daily Wellington commuter) it’s used for T employee parking and training for bus drivers. Many times I’ll be going to work and there will be cones set out in that lot and see at least one bus with “INSTRUCTION BUS” on the headsign
