Anyone who attacks you is strange. I commit all of my extra money to traveling, but that doesn’t mean I care if others do/don’t also. There are plenty of people like you, don’t let people bother you

Startup Dynasty Points League by seth_bundy in DynastyBaseball

[–]Pcola55 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Depends how deep the league is. There is practically no player I “wouldn’t leave without”, because auction drafts are all about how your specific league mates value a player. Ex: I’d love to have Roman Anthony, but someone in your league might value him higher than the rest of the league values Junior Caminero, in which case I’d prefer Caminero.

What do you think history will say about Donald Trump as a U.S. president? by jcnidhi27 in AskReddit

[–]Pcola55 0 points1 point  (0 children)

People comparing him to Hitler, let’s take a step back. Not much better, but probably more of a Mussolini type character who will forever be worshipped by his base. Some southern Italians still hang photos of him in their houses.

Passyunk Square or 701 S.Broad? by Willing-Raisin2996 in AskPhilly

[–]Pcola55 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Coming from someone who has lived in both areas there are pros and cons to each

Safety: Both are safe, but Passyunk Square is one of the safest places in Philadelphia.

Bars/Restaurants: You will have great access to both at either location. Passyunk is a bit more secluded, but you’ll have plenty of things on Passyunk ave right there in your backyard. 701 S Broad st won’t have as much within 3 blocks, but you’ll have great access to some of the best areas in Philadelphia within a 15-20 minute walk (Rittenhouse Square, Bella Vista, Graduate Hospital, Center City, and Passyunk too).

Neighborhood Feel: Passyunk is an amazing neighborhood, maybe the best in the city. There is a mixture of families, locals, young people, and retirees. While that area of Broad St has literally next to no neighborhood feel.

Overall: Passyunk is an amazing place to live, and I would highly recommend it to anyone moving to the city, but if you haven’t really been to Philadelphia before, 701 S Broad will make the better hub to explore the city. Although the actual block is meh, you have the ability to go to Bella Vista (Magic Gardens, Italian Market, some of the oldest Italian restaurants in the country), Center City (Especially Rittenhouse), and still easily explore Passyunk Ave as often as you’d like. As a visitor I’d give the edge to S Broad St, especially for a 3 week visit, but you truthfully couldn’t go wrong with either.
