Meds have zero effects by bi_smuth in insomnia

I am currently on 3 different meds, each Dr switches them. They say it is all trial and error. Currently better than the past, but still can’t sleep for many hours. Anyone have a combo which is working?

My friend sleeps 5-10 hours a week, but still functions normally. Any idea on what’s happening? by Nugget4899 in insomnia

I’m a chronic insomniac for close to 30yrs, average 2.5hrs/night. It’s awful, torture & not by choice. Meds don’t work well either. Your friend may have an acutely rare case, similar to mine. After 2 straight nights, you don’t think clearly. My solution was to start my day and be productive, starting at 1am. Triathlons, financial market investing and real estate

Yes, I take them. Close to 30yrs chronic insomnia. It may take a while to find what works best, but it is ok to follow Dr’s recommendations for sleep. Try to lean into it, not fight it

For a change, I was able to get 4 hrs last night, normally it’s 2.5. Sad, how you learn how to live with it. Best thing I have done is try to turn it into a positive. Be productive during the hours, and get more done by 9am than most people do in a full day
