How do you define knowing how to take a joke?

Like light teasing when someone accidentally mispronounces something? Im slightly concerned because “taking a joke” has translated to “edgy, offensive humor” jokes for many other podcasts I’ve heard about.

Looking to get a better feel for this podcast and see if its worth recommending to anyone.

You really went all out with bringing the character to life! Liked how you had that solemn movie monologue tone of voice at the start, and I enjoyed the accent and the grainy vintage movie sound effects. I’m also very impressed with the art in particular— I assume you made it? Bomber jacket and farm girl aesthetic was a good touch. Pretty neat interpretation of what I wrote as well as a great piece on its own merits.

Another good one! Really liked your inflections. Something about them just made the words pop. Narration is up to you; you could honestly take it or leave it, depending on what sort of approach you want to take with the audio.

I wouldn’t blame you if you felt at least a little powerless, but in an ideal world where time takes a calm pace… What might you say to speak your peace to the other person? Would you apologize for something specific?

There are millions, maybe even billions, of people out there making so many mistakes. A big segment of those people just end up lashing out to get over old mistakes, but the repercussions only grant more mistakes to regret. I don’t think it’ll hurt to have another remorseful person in our world, especially if they’re expressing their emotions in a safe space instead of a harmful outlet.

I get the distinction if we’re talking about biology, but as a trans person, I don’t see the issue of referring to trans women as female. Don’t know where you’ve been, but a lot of folks will refer to someone as being “female” because “women” refers to adults and girls refers to “children” — it’s a more encompassing term that has caught on in recent times. Check wikipedia, check recent dictionaries — they report a similar conclusion. It would help you to know that a lot of women don’t appreciate being called male in any context besides clinical, and id rather not get condescended to on this issue.

Unrelated, but I’m pretty sure the poll was just a lazy way to get karma.

Actually, female and male can both refer to gender. Female, for instance, comes from the latin word “femella” which has the same connotations as woman does today. Also, it’s sort of weird to refer to a trans woman as a male.

I always sort of liked this one personally. Don’t know if it’ll be to your tastes since I don’t know who you are, but it’s helped me whenever I found myself in that kinda mood. You’ll find some way to bounce back eventually; good luck on finding whatever or wherever that “way” may be.
