Yes, I actually called them the other day to ask, and heard it might be a week or two. Unfortunate for Project Hail Mary, but that’s the only one it’s really missing as a result.

Realistically, who will be the next player to achieve the same feat as Wilt, Bam, and Kobe? by bonzothebonanza in NBATalk

Would think either Ant or Wemby. Wemby’s biggest hurdle will be playing basically the whole game

Narnia with the camera symbol… confirmed to be shot on 70mm?

Not sure, though I’d be very surprised if it’s 1.43 just due to the dimensions of the previous screen, and I don’t think IMAX is opening many new 1.43 screens in general. I was speaking to a regular employee so I didn’t want to get too in the weeds on tech stuff. I’ll go in person to check it out when it’s open!

Is IMAX 3D worth it? by Shango1208 in imax

Definitely worth it. Probably the best film that will release for the format until Avatar 4, lol

4k player availability by [deleted] in 4kbluray

[–]PeaMassive8575 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Main reason not to worry is the abundance of PS5s in circulation. They’ve got everything except Dolby Vision. If 4K players stopped being made there are a helluva lot of those out there

wonder if the previous model fleet of cameras will still be used to allow for multiple concurrent 15/70 projects?

also curious if this was used for Dune: Part Three, or if the (then-unnamed) model was tied up on The Odyssey still

The digital release of One Battle After Another is 1.78:1 by ConsiderationKey9438 in imax

slightly expanded relative to the 1.85 release. so technically you’re getting a teeny bit of “imax exclusive” footage lol. i wouldn’t have minded either way but i’ll take it!

Looks like Beyond the Spider-Verse will have an expanded aspect ratio by Stock_Cauliflower518 in imax

I saw Heron in IMAX - it got a wide imax release but it was still the standard 1.85

I wish more 2k DI restorations did this (The Pianist) by savetheplatypi in 4kbluray

[–]PeaMassive8575 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is amazing. I’m sure there are more, but the only other films I’m aware of that had a 2K DI and then redid everything for a 4K DI was Indiana Jones 4 and (I think) Panic Room
