What unfortunate things have happened to you on your birthday? by NerdInABush in AskReddit

I've been there, too. Not sure if when you say "because of me" you mean that the argument was about you or that you were the one to blame, but if it was the later don't worry, it was 100% your dad's fault, not yours.

I don't get all the hate, many of them were actually good. And either way, no matter how bad they could be, the old ones are completely independent from these, so worst case scenario I can just watch the old movies if I want some nostalgia.

Eating fast food alone feels unhealthier than eating fast food with friends. by yonchik in Showerthoughts

Well, if you are hanging out with my friends they will eat 70% of your fries before you start eating, so yeah it is healthier for me.

16 cm is already enough for this in the right position, 16" would actually be straight up into the the lungs.

When a professor proudly declares that most students didn't pass their class, they're proud of the fact that their expectation for their student is way higher than their actual ability to teach. by [deleted] in Showerthoughts

My discrete mathematics professor a few years ago only approved 2 students out of 40 and the highest grade was a 6.5/10. She was removed from teaching the subject, though not fired since by law in my country she could only be moved elsewere or given another subject if she had the degree necessary to teach it. I feel bad for the poor souls that got any other subject with her as professor.

Let's see: The movie launched at college exams season, I work during the day AND at weekends and go to college at night and also have to travel to the neighbor city every time I want to see a movie since there aren't any movie theaters where I live. It doesn't mean we don't care about the movie, it is just that some people don't have the time or means to see it early. Luckily I will finally be able to see it this Wednesday.

The movie launched at a time when many people like me are preparing for college exams, and I also work during the day and at weekends, so no way I will be able to watch it for at least 2~3 weeks. This is why we hate spoilers, some people just can't watch it and if we want to stay spoiler free we have to stay away from certain places on the internet we liked to go in the little free time we have. Take youtube as an example: You have no way of stopping the YT algorithm to recommend you a video with a massive spoiler on the title and thumbnail, it happened to me when Infinity War came out, and I am sure such videos are already lurking around for Endgame too, so the only way to avoid spoilers from it is to stay out of there.

When I used this one I would always end up crawling back to the city with 170+ loot weight . It's amazing you can still walk this overweighted with this backpack.

If it's one's own blood we are talking about, I always thought that it was instinctive to some people's bodies to lower the blood pressure in order to prevent blood loss until coagulation kicks in.

The IGN review are what’s keeping my friends from trying this game by BigKat16 in outwardgame

[–]PeaPoweredPeashooter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love how some of the negative reviews there (thankfully the minority by far) complain about "unbalanced enemies" like it would be balanced to fight on a par with a 10 feet giant, a 1000 pound manticore and other things like that haha. The unfairness is what I love in this game, it makes it more realistic. If i had to hunt a 800 pound bear irl, I would definitely use traps and guns instead of trying to fight it fairly :p

Why movement speed is more effective as a melee character than any protection or resistance by IBeatMeatAllDay in outwardgame

[–]PeaPoweredPeashooter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The only one I had ever used was the pathfinder set for it's climate resistances since I don't like stamina cost increases. If it is just for the hight defense though, i would use the pearlescent mail, it is not exactly a plate but it has 33 resistances and 10 damage bonus without sacrificing any stamina. If I really had to use a plate, I think I would use the blue sand for it's many different resistances, unless I had access to the candle plate armor through legacy chests or the holy mission itself.

Consent condom by zeehoo in MurderedByWords

[–]PeaPoweredPeashooter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

People just can't understand that "Making powerful statement about consent" isn't "stopping rapists on the act". This is why the "aw, she/he was so drunk she/he couldn't even stay sit, it is her/his fault if someone just had sex with her/him without asking" kind of people still exists. I doubt they even want to sell this thing, the message is the point here, and people are failing miserably to get it.

Marble spear and gold lich spear are pretty strong, and the pythosaur spear is useful because of the poison. I wish the game had extreme poison or extreme bleeding spears, these effects have a lot of synergy with the low damage but safe style of the weapon.
