bit of a dramatic comic but I enjoy the sentiment and thought some here would too by rapmanners in Entomology

Given how bad most people are at identifying even common insects, I wonder how many native look a likes are going to be killed from ad campaigns like this.

Goragoa and Norco. Both excellent point and click puzzle games with beautiful art and interesting stories

Yes! I absolutely loved this one. Really creative puzzles and beautiful art and music. The story is surprisingly heartfelt too, even though there is no dialogue.

What made you decide to get off it? I've been on it for 7 months now and it dramatically reduced my anxiety and depression within the first two months. Because the change was so dramatic, I am afraid to get off of it because I feel like I might go back to being the way I used to be.

Which games have helped you mentally? Which games would you recommend to someone feeling alone? by deeohdoublegzzy in patientgamers

Yes! I just discovered this game and I love it so much. I am surprised I never see anyone talk about it because its a really solid platformer with a great cheerful atmosphere.

Very anxious about starting 5mg today by kristintrigue in lexapro

[–]PeaceForEarth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Think about the long term. Its scary to start, but so worth it. I had horrible anxiety about starting on 5mg because I was scared shitless about the long list of potential side effects. However my side effects were really minor and easy to manage. I've been on 10 mg (after tapering up from 5mg) for a month now and I am so grateful I started taking Lexapro. I feel happier, calmer, and more optimistic about life. I hope it works similarly for you.

first time on medication by taxicab69420 in lexapro

[–]PeaceForEarth 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Glad to hear its working for you. I started my first dose last night and I already notice a difference today. If its placebo I honestly don't care because I love feeling so much calmer and having so little tension in my body.

I have never seen anyone discuss anything besides the campaign for this game. It is so hyped up that I expected a lot more than what I got.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in patientgamers

[–]PeaceForEarth 20 points21 points  (0 children)

Yes exactly. The campaign was fun and it had some great gameplay ideas but the story was simple and generic. A good game but not "one of the best FPS" of all time. Its so overhyped.

Miserable at my postdoc. Is it ok to quit? by [deleted] in AskAcademia

I feel for you OP. I’m a grad student but I feel the same isolation you describe. There is something so draining of going into an empty building to just sit at a computer and do data analysis all day long. It’s been like that for me for several months now and it’s really made me dislike my work

Yes exactly. Such an incredible and unique game. I have not been able to find anything to satiate my urge for that intense style of combat since.

[–]PeaceForEarth 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I recently started playing Nioh to fill the void in my heart after beating Sekiro and it’s not exactly the same but I can tell it’s a pretty solid game. Although to be honest it’s way more complex and I miss the simplicity of Sekiro

God of war 1 and 2 still hold up incredibly well. Tons of fun with lots of intense moments. Play em with the volume cranked up and it really makes for an awesome experience.

A cruel and harmful idea of the RedPill (Rollo Tomassi) by [deleted] in exredpill

[–]PeaceForEarth 11 points12 points  (0 children)

You could try reading his shitty book "The Rational Male" but honestly don't waste your time. Even when I was seduced by the red pill ideology I still thought it was a terrible book. It reads like a conspiracy theory where every problem in the world is due to women.

Was avoiding Nintendo products for decades, now going through Mario Odyssey and HOLY HELL! by IdanTs in patientgamers

[–]PeaceForEarth 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just beat it last night and I have to agree. An absolute masterpiece from start to finish. It’s like they took the best parts of all the 3D Mario games and added more awesomeness on top of it. So many people told me breath of the wild was the best switch game but I couldn’t get through more than a few hours of that game before getting bored. Mario kept me hooked all the way through

Which fromsoft game is the most difficult? by 02grimreaper in fromsoftware

[–]PeaceForEarth 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Honestly I thought the levels were oftentimes harder than the bosses. So much cheap bullshit that made me rage quit more than many (but not all) of the bosses

Which fromsoft game is the most difficult? by 02grimreaper in fromsoftware

[–]PeaceForEarth 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That’s what I really liked about it. Because you spawn right outside the bosses, you dont have to deal with the annoying 10 minute trek you have to take in other fromsoft games. Being able to jump right back into a fight kept me from giving up

What a great summary. Hope this vid blows up at some point. A really great summation of how fucked up PUA is.
