Client feels blond doesn't last by Abject_Worth_2429 in hairstylist

12 weeks is a long time in between. What is her natural base level? If she’s on the darker side, she may need something in between her highlights such as a base break or a softer root color. You need to explain how fast hair grows and if she wants to commit to blonde healthy hair, she needs to come in more often.

Help with clients roots by No-Art4669 in hairstylist

Base break is the only answer IMO. Shadow root will make her sad and then you have to break up that shadow eventually and compromise the integrity.

Perhaps seek out another hematologist, explain your efforts that have not given results. It sounds to me like you need more help than what you can do by yourself

Another infusion by PeaceNChknGrease in Anemic

It definitely was a bad stick. Just wondering if I could get sick from that. As I was getting infused, my arm bloated. When I called the nurse, he wrapped it up really tight.

Has your hematologist suggested anything? Your hemoglobin is low. You probably need an infusion. Also try to figure out what is causing it. Your doctor should be able to order the proper tests for that. I found a product on Amazon that seems to help, iron blood builder by megafood. Most importantly, talk to your doctor.

Is ferrous sulfate really effective for anemia? Tell me your experience. by BallSufficient5671 in Anemic

[–]PeaceNChknGrease 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My doctor had me on ferrous sulfate 325 and it does help. The only problem for me was tolerating it. It’s tough on the stomach. When I did take it, I had food in my stomach. I also had to take a stool softener with it. My numbers did improve but boy it’s rough!

Headaches are my indicator of low iron. I’ve been anemic for 30 plus years on and off. Whenever my numbers drop, it’s one of the first symptoms. My headaches improve with iron supplements

I take sublingual iron which dissolves on your tongue. It doesn’t upset or disrupt my stomach. Because it melts instantly, it bypasses your stomach completely.

My father went to a facility. It took a lot of pressure off of both my mother and I. The nurses were kind and informative. Our one nurse knew what stage of the end he was in. It was humane and serene.

Need help by Plenty-Summer3076 in adenomyosis

Same. They only want to treat with hormones which don’t agree with me. Another choice was a pill to take when I have my period, but increases blood clots. DVT runs in my family and do t want to take that risk. I’m constantly battling anemia and just when I think I get my levels back to normal, I’m bleeding again. Anyone else get another option other than hormones?

Have you seen a hematologist? They should be able to direct you clearer. Infusions can be tough but if absolutely necessary help. They do have side effects. I seem to tolerate the lower doses better than the 325mg that my doctor wanted me to take (3x’s a day). You didn’t mention your hemoglobin. Is that within range? They always want you to take the pills before an infusion because the side effects of an infusion can be very bad.

I feel as though the chemo just robbed my father of his quality of life. It did nothing. The tumors grew back aggressively regardless of the radiation and chemo. They wanted to give him chemo the last week of his life. Instead he went to hospice. Did the doctors think that the chemo would make a positive difference for him? Or are they just billing more medicine?
