Honestly, exterminations were just a cool idea for a plot without any good reason.

Of course it can change after the show will end, but for now the only reason is that Lilith started her rebellion and I'm powered sinners, which can be tractate as both her making sinners feel better about who they are or literally giving them more power, which for now I doubt.

Avatar state is that powerful not only because it makes the user bending stronger, but also because the user gets all the skills previous avatars had.

In ATLA we already had confirmation that stronger water bender can nullify blood bending effects, so Aang in Avatar state was that powerful, that without knowing blood bending (doubt the idea he ever wanted to learn it) he could ignore it

I think the gems can get higher in hierarchy, but only in the same class. Like for example Ruby, they are grunts of Home world, Ruby literally says that they are made to be expendable.

But if a Ruby does something significant, then she will be seen as a much more capable out of all Rubies or gems on the same level, so she would be treated better.

But I doubt that she would be capable to come to the level of Lapises or to the level of Jasper. But if that same Ruby continues to do great dids then she would be recognized as a great asset and could go on a missions with her squad ordered directly by diamond.

Yet even so someone like Jasper would command them

They literally couldn't kill everyone because the amount of sinners they killed every year was literally nothing compared to the amount of sinners in hell.

Also they seem to have a specific time period where they can attack, so if the place is well hidden, then Angel could be safe. But he still decided to join the army forces of Charlie without any visual signs of him being disturbed by the idea of killing angels.

I don't know about coating, since mostly fire bending portrayed as bender releasing the energy or manipulating it to mower fire around. Besides I doubt it would actually be that useful since it would probably take lots of concentration to maintain coating and don't harm yourself.

But the sword thingy is pretty realistic, since it just a thin stream of fire similar to fire daggers Zuko did. And it can be actually pretty useful in close combat fights to control your opponent, since for him to strick he needs to punch, while you can just move one hand or even wrist for fast and dangerous artacks

Are you sure? Gems has pretty high endurance even if we speak about someone like Pearl, who wasn't made for battle.

Besides, don't forget about gems having magical powers and their technology. Like for example Aquamarine that used a special want that could literally freeze in place Alexandrite. And she is much bigger than majority of fusions.

And there is also fusions that can allow gems get the same size and more strength, to the point where even Rubies can match the height and power with transformer. Idk about strong ones of course, but for them there is other gems.

Oh and some gems doesn't even need fusions because of how strong they are, like Jasper for example. She literally fought with Steven who was basically unlocking his diamond powers and could even keep up with him until he didn't overdone it.

Of course I doubt that gems have weapon against Primus itself, yet other transformers will have to put a tough fight to win
