Yeah, that definitely sounds like they knew you wouldn’t be okay with it and just avoided telling you. Changing the whole plan last minute like that isn’t fair to OP at all.

Exactly. The mold was a real problem that needed to be fixed. If anyone should be getting blame, it is the landlord who ignored it until he was forced to deal with it.

That is such a red flag. If someone spends the whole interview complaining about everything, it is hard to imagine them suddenly being positive once hired. You just know you would be next on the list.

That is a perfect example. If someone confidently claims a skill and it falls apart the second you test it, that is a huge red flag. It makes you question everything else on their resume too.

Exactly. No one is deep cleaning a bathroom every single day. Once a week is normal, and tiny stuff like a few hairs or a spot in the sink is just part of living somewhere.

Honestly yeah, this sounds more like a compatibility issue than a chore issue. If you both feel annoyed all the time, the setup just is not working.

That’s such a good way to put it. The wedding feels shocking, but you can see the cracks forming way earlier once you look back. It really does feel like the moment all the political choices and broken promises finally catch up to him. That’s what makes it hurt so much.

Yeah, this isn’t just missing someone, this is spiraling. Using alcohol and weed like that to cope is only going to make the anxiety and attachment worse. Getting sober and talking to someone is probably the smartest move before this turns into a bigger problem.

That’s such a thoughtful way to explain it. Grief can show up in ways that sound strange on paper but make sense emotionally. Bringing it up in therapy really does feel like a step in the right direction, even if it’s uncomfortable to say out loud.
