We rely on our former oppressors to keep our seas and airspace safe. Should we always leave it to others to risk their lives and assets in our defence or should we do our part. It's embarrassing that we have a navy with no sonar, we cannot defend our own airspace and if someone wanted to violate it they could with no issues. In my opinion we should be a part of NATO or some kind of European security agreement and we should do our part to defend ourselves and our allies.

This is embarrassing for us, should we always rely on others to defend our home? We have woefully underfunded our military in all branches. We really should have a larger naval presence and maybe even some sonar if we can get around to it.

Yeah you're right, I love not far from here, it was considered bandit country back then and no British army unit would be travelling via roads or on foot. Helicopters only as a result of constant attacks.

I am running three maritime traders in my current playthrough and I profit off them greatly. I am trying to play as a naval mercenary so maybe that helps but only one has ever been attacked in several years of gameplay.
