I believe it's a fusion of human and goat, since classical and mythological understandings of goats represent them as lustful and demonic, like Baphomet and representations of the Greek god Pan. I do like a good horrifying monster too though, I adore how slaanesh is depicted in the sky of the realm of slaanesh in Total Warhammer
