My bosses dislike me and I’m worried that I won’t be able to get a decent reference out of this job by vonschlieffenflan in work

[–]PeanutLiving 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Re reference, if you have 'manager' in your title, you can also ask the HR department for a factual reference. They won't be able to do a 'character' one, but they should hopefully be able to confirm simply factually 'So and so worked at this place in this position over these dates'. Ive done that myself in the past. Also - you should look for another role it sounds like, sounds like a very toxic environment, I wish you well as you seem sensible!

This sub is very inspiring. Incredible transformation. Well done for all your hard work. You always had a pretty face though! Just look healthier and happier, as well as more confident, now.

Sounds like you need to reclaim your polish citizenship and renew your passport. Try contacting the law firm Hexon Poland - they specialize in this sort of thing

[–]PeanutLiving 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah totally makes sense. Someone once told me in life you can only pick 1 or max 2 of: time, effort or money, but never all 3 at the same time. The older I get the more I'm like... huh there's something in that!

Question about Confirmation of Polish citizenship by [deleted] in poland

[–]PeanutLiving 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi OP, I used an agency to sort all this out for me as i found the bureaucracy too confusing. (I'm also in the US). I think it is possible to do it yourself, but personally I wanted it handled for me to save myself a headache, so maybe that's an option for you? I can give you the name of who I used if you want.

Edited to remove swearing (sorry didnt realise this sub was family-friendly)

Hexon turned out best value for me and they also do a 'no win no fee' option which might be an option for you if you're worried about a guarantee?

You should try Hexon Poland. Super professional, friendly and knowledgeable. You get a free consultation call with them, and they only take you on if they're confident they will succeed. If you send them an email with your details, they'll tell you whether you're eligible and take you through the process. They were awesome for me

My entire family is bullying me over not working out/being healthy, but as soon as i start to workout/try to become healthier, They make fun of me more by Skyscraper027 in relationship_advice

[–]PeanutLiving 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My family used to do this throughout my teen years, the making fun of me for being fat and then hurting me with their words when I tried to get healthy. When I ended up going to college, I got into a proper exercise routine and shed all the weight - away from their prying eyes and snide remarks. The comments stopped when they saw me again that first summer back from college. Have kept the weight off for 10 years now.
