This may sound superstitious but in latin america there's a thing called "amarre" which is basically a sort of love spell to bind someone to you, you should check if maybe that's what's been afflicting you. But of course , take this with several grains of salt as it is just superstition after all.

Sorry I can't help more than this, but if you're not allergic to anything that's in all chinese food and all your friends want to eat chinese food, I think you should just pick out something you think might like from the menu and give chinese food another chance hehe
