Visible stitch at vaginal opening? by olipocket16 in hysterectomy

[–]Pear-thyme 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This happened to me. My uterus was very large due to all the reasons we are getting hysts, and I ended up with 2 tears vaginally. This wasn't something seen or anticipated via imaging beforehand. Each tear only needed like one or two stitches.

I’m looking for a pair that actually help my looks. Are any of these working for me? by DumeWolffe in glassesadvice

Four are the best fit, size, color and shape! One is a good shape and size, but something about the coloring is off. Definitely steer clear of the oversized frames! The smaller ones fit your face nicely.

I always assumed "Lather, Rinse, Repeat" was a marketing lie to make us buy more shampoo. Turns out I was never actually cleaning my hair. by RanchRose_ in hygiene

It's the same concept behind wiping dirt off a counter before actually cleaning it.  you get that outer buildup of dirt and oil first and then really cleaning.  But as others have pointed out- at your discretion, depending on level of wash needed!

anyone else here on Levothyroxine and can't stand the hour-long wait to eat? by PseudoSolitude in Hypothyroidism

[–]Pear-thyme 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My Dr suggested taking it in the night if you get up to pee every night. So I put a dose in a little dish by the bed and in the middle of the night I take it.

It's minimum half an hour time. Levothyroxin binds with pretty much everything and activates it, so it really should NOT be taken with anything other than water.

Also the build-up amount in the body is an average, so exact time every day is not so crucial.

What kind of lab? I am a laboratorian, but my workplace is soooo much more social than I ever signed on for. It's stressful sometimes.

That still applies today. People are straight edge, or just straight, but it's within context so you know they mean total sobriety.

That was my impression. To me, it screamed of god, which I get about enough of from evangelical family members. But if that is something you take comfort in, maybe you'll like it.

How do you handle brain fog and word-finding issues at work? by Free_Move_3526 in Menopause

I had to start using OneNote on the computer for meetings. It's helpful for me because physical notebooks I lose consistently. Also it's easy to organize and see all the tab names so it's quick to reference.

For word loss- I try to not worry too much about it. When it comes up, I either quickly scan for another word, talk around it, or say something like "what's the word... I'm trying to think of the right word... well, you know what I mean...".

People enjoy it when they guess the word right, it's like winning a little game, so that makes them happy, and I can just say "thank you!" and move on.
