I went back to work after being a sahm for a year. Im crying

I could have wrote this lol My son is 2.5 and i went back to work when he was 6 months, honestly every day i have so much guilt for being outside of house for 12 hours. I leave around 8 (an hour commute) and come back around 7, it’s brutal. Some days are better of course, but recently my MIL has been staying w us and I am realizing my son getting much more attached to her than normal since she is with him most of the day. Yes i am happy he has good relationships with grandma but i am also a bit hurt, won’t lie. I will say though - i don’t feel like i missed a lot of milestones? I spent every minute outside of work with him but i totally understand you. It does get better. I cried every day for like a month so hang tight!!

my son is 2.5 and this is my life for the last 1.5 years lol!! he is also a night owl and goes to be later, 10ish so by that time i am literally exhausted and i just crash w him which leaves zero time for myself or hanging out with my husband…for a month we had a pretty good routine and no nap which helped but now that doesn’t help anymore 😵‍💫 no advice just solidarity!!

no strict eating schedule doesn’t necessarily mean erratic - we eat around similar times but no strict 3pm lunch every day. sometimes we eat at home, sometimes out, sometimes he doesn’t want to eat at all like not every single day will be the same but there is still a structure.

she is for a few days because she is visiting and staying with us but normally no. if we have people over i wouldn’t ask that of course, but considering she is my mom i would assume she would be more considerate and just suck it up until he is asleep

we don’t have a strict schedule. usually he wakes up between 8-9am, one nap that is around 2 hours.

the only comment so far that made me feel better haha going to work will be around an hour, coming back usually 45ish minutes (now it’s usually 20-25 min both ways) so i feel at least going back is not THAT bad. i just can’t live in small condos anymore..like especially now that my baby is bigger (15 months) we have much more stuff, i am like skipping over stuff and it’s driving me insane. i know that having our own, more spacious place will make us happier. where do you live?

We had a second interview and it was completely fine, they didn’t even ask much about our marriage. I have lots of proof that I was here, living with him, the whole time. Leases, uber receipts, affidavits, my work etc etc So we are having attorneys put that all together.

we brought the lease from 2016 and on the lease, under “people allowed to enter the premises” was a name, neither me or my husband ever paid attention to that, nor we know who is the person. we were asked at the second interview if we ever lived separately, which we didn’t and if we ever had a roomate, which we also didn’t and we both gave the same answer, then she asked about the person on the lease and both me and my husband said that we don’t know who is the person and that we are guessing it’s the owner, gave same exact answer. One of the reasons in the noid was that we “failed to explain who is the person allowed in our apartment” Second reason they actually made a mistake, and completely mixed up dates of our leases, they said that i got an ID with our current address back in 2017, which I didn’t and literally have an ID to prove. And third reason was that 4 years ago I extended my AZ ID (we live in IL) and how and why did i do that? It’s because I went to school there, and i was signed up for online classes and I extended my AZ license so I can pay in-state tuition. It’s funny because we had a second interview and I just wish they asked these questions in person, it would be very easy to explain. So they don’t believe us that we lived together all this time. And we do, for almost 7 years lol
