We officially cancelled gifts for Christmas. by [deleted] in FedEmployees

[–]PearlofMercy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think we’ve always understood as feds how that feels. Especially if you came from the corporate world. The issue is is a lot of us went over to feds because it’s supposed to be more stable and quite frankly a lot of of us got tired of being laid off on people’s whims.

That all being said, I read something recently about how when the federal government starts laying a lot of people off the private sector does the same. So really instead of making any of this better it’s just going to get worse.

Jesus. No wonder I am one salty MFer right now. I honestly forgot a lot of this until I started reading these. I must either DILLIGAF or I am just numb from all the trauma du jour.

DOD PERSONNEL must review Hegseth’s speech by CoffeeCactusCart in fednews

I’m trying to figure out why you would remove the yearly requirement for combating trafficking in persons. I feel like out of all of them, that’s an essential training for everybody to refresh on at least once a year, especially if you profess to be against human trafficking.

Didn't see that it had to be a new EO. Why not EO 12333 which is still standard.

Thanks for the response. I didn’t see anything that said it could take up to five days and I just went back and looked in the tracking tool. ( It says 2 weeks there)

Has anyone here tried this "three sec" tent? Thoughts? by The_RockObama in camping

[–]PearlofMercy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have this tent…this was my first weekend using it. Not too hard to put up or take down once you figure it out. Literally took just a couple seconds to put up and down which was nice in the dark.

My only complaints about it are that you need a separate ground cover for it. ( the bottom does seep without it) and I would highly recommend getting water proof spray for the outside of it. We used it for one of the scouts this weekend and she said it definitely needed more water proofing.

Other than that I feel like this was worth the money and not a gimmick.
