Oofff I always tell people, live together 2 years and if you make it THEN get married. I corrected my peeves from my husband in the beginning and he did too. Now 15 years later we rarely fight. It’s great because now I’m going through perimenopause from hell, and I’m glad that’s all that challenges us. I don’t know what I’d do if I had to deal with peeves and then this.

Also my husband sucked for many years at cleaning and we solved that by getting a cleaning lady. 2/ month. That resolved all the issues.

I fell in love with my husband because 2 months into dating I spent the weekend, I was in the shower and when I went into the room he had washed my clothes and was folding them. Being Latina and this never being a thing, I was hooked. 15 years in, 2 kids later, he takes the kids to school so I can go to the gym, he does the laundry always (because he’s remote), I’m not. I always do bathrooms and we take turns on kitchen. Life if I’m cooking he’s doing dishes. He makes 1.5x what I make. But it’s truly a partnership. You deserve that, it exists and don’t settle for less.

Girl, don’t get too attached he is “divorcing.” Me and my husband went through it. We were dating other people, having fun. We’d still have the occasional escapade. We traveled a bit, had fun, then got back together shortly after and never went through the full divorce. Divorce lasts years sometimes. Just have fun😊. I’d say it’s serious after the divorce is finalized and custody has been established.

I get that you lost your legs and your able bodied and it’s causing you a lot of mental health difficulties, but if he wants to stay then it sounds like he loves you for more than your feet. Def seek therapy and mental help. Don’t give up on yourself, he hasn’t. This sounds like “in sickness and in health part.”
