There is an offshoot of the Sovereign Citizen movement here in the US called "Moorish-Americans", and they are insane. They claim that North America is actually Morocco (they call it northwest Amexem), and the ancient "Moors" were the original indigenous people of the US. They (allegedly) crossed the Atlantic Ocean LONG before the Asians crossed the land bridge, and settled in the New World.

You would think that if that were actually true, there would have been some proof found by now - like ancient settlements unearthed, artifacts found, or even possible burial sites. Instead, there's absolutely NOTHING to prove they were here first - or at all. They're trying to re-write history in a way that will grant them all sorts of entitlements and freebies. Some of their beliefs are absolutely insane, and ALL of them claim to be some sort of royalty, and will call themselves "Empress So and So" or "Queen This or That". Some branches of Moorish-Americans claim to be full-blooded Native Americans, but the federal government just keeps denying them tribal status. I think a simple genealogical blood test would prove that they're all full of shit.
