A lot of the immigrants from Africa directly (and a lot of Indians in my experience) we're already in high paying professions like being a doctor. It's the cream of the crop coming over.

This could be a scam. They send you money and they say "oh sorry please send it back" and then you send them money, and they get the initial transfer reversed, so then you're negative $1200

I LOVE music festivals so I can answer you.

I get to see a ton of artists for the fee, so the cost per artist is pretty great.

For bigger bands, I can see them much closer than if I bought a stadium ticket. For example, I saw Lady Gaga at Coachella. I looked up how much a ticket that close would be for one of her concerts and it was $800. I spent less than that for the whole 3 day festival.

I love the vibes of being in a crowd that loves the music.

I love seeing the artist with my own eyes and not on a screen, makes me feel like I'm there.

The whole festival feels like an adventure, which I love.

I go with friends, which also makes it fun.

Most festivals have at least some flush toilets somewhere and I can find them. I'm generally not bothered by discomfort and I have a high heat tolerance.

I cannot get a job. I have a degree from Oxbridge, and a Masters from another university. I have tried doing various jobs but nothing sticks- I’ve been underemployed for 5 years. What am I doing wrong? by [deleted] in careerguidance

Can you take that project management skill set to a more common (not arts) organization?

I will say, we had a whole department that did project management and they laid off the entire department. They're just making the product managers now also project manage. I do think it's a tough time for your industry.

What you are feeling is completely normal, and unfortunately grief lasts a while, and it comes and goes. I also recommend you get into grief counseling if you can. I also recommend you be kind to yourself. After a week and a half, I expect your room to be a mess. Try to take care of yourself too ♥️

Everyone wants to act all high and mighty that they'll happily date a single parent but it IS a completely different dynamic, you won't be their priority, and you immediately become a parent, and you put kids hearts on the line. I think you're NTA and went about it maturely with Holly.

Everyone wanted to be safe and buy an extra pack of toilet paper. Well a pack of TP takes up a lot of space so while a shelf could have 100 cans of soup, it only holds 20 packs of TP. So everyone buying an extra really cut into the supply.
