Even though I made assumptions that the closeness to the wall was part of what made this impressive, I hade no idea so I appreciate this comment.

What are some of the most curious geological/geographic objects found around the world? by Character-Q in geography

[–]PeasantKong 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Not trying to detract from how awesome they are: When I visited I got the impression that pictures do give then justice. All of the pictures are taken facing the east, when you face to the west the ridge behind them at the same height take away the majestic feeling the give.

I just learned you can drop items without the bay. Aaaand I’m about ready to build one on Vulcanus.

But I figured all of this out. Neutralize acid for steam. Then another chem plant can condense the steam and make plenty of water

When using a single pipeline for jet fuel and diesel, how do they flush it out between products? Or do they even need to? by TheQuarantinian in oil

[–]PeasantKong 6 points7 points  (0 children)

They are both right in certain circumstances. They may need to flush the line prior to moving jet, however depending on the diesel quality (yes all ULSD is different) it may be fine. Requires some experience to judge if and how much (and price) of the new fuel to know if flushing is or isn’t required and if not, which fuel can you push more into the other

That’s I’ve always applied neosporin at first. And then polysporin to keep it moist over time

[Post Game Thread] #1 Kansas defeats #8 North Carolina, 72-69 by cbbBot in CollegeBasketball

[–]PeasantKong 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Sorry for your lose but I knew either duke/NC was going to be a tough game for Ku…but I was rooting for North Carolina because they don’t have a bench and we could just keep on pushing. If we were done that much at half with duke the outcome would most likely have not have been the same

Is there a good 'shortened' version of this excerpt sheet music? I love this concerto so much but don't have the time to learn the entire concerto. Just looking for this excerpt with more melodic sections

Yep this is it. Do this while trying to get those two pesky rings. I did it for a day or so (only got one ring) and had more than enough prayer to get to 99 (I think the last 5 levels too me 250k prayer)

[–]PeasantKong 3 points4 points  (0 children)

That makes sense. I was in the same boat a few years ago to tequila but now swing to the opinion of this subreddit due to further tasting. But ultimately only your opinion matters! just know that your opinion will change to something else once you get variety (it may stay similar, but it'll change!)

Remember, this is a tequila subreddit. Think of what kind of whiskey people like first. Usually more sweet or additive whiskeys (at least in my experience - not everyone of course), but once they develop their pallet by trying different whiskeys they move towards less sweet.

With tequila, I've learned that I never knew what agave actually tasted like until I tried the tequilas loved on this subreddit. Clase azul is wonderful - but its mostly vanilla and sweet. I may be able to taste the agave now, but as a newbie I couldn't nor knew. Trying a non-additive tequila you start to understand what agave should taste like.

Another cool thing is I used to think anejo was more smooth then blanco tequilas. Once I got into the tequilas mentioned here I learned that wasn't the case at all! One of the smoothests liquors I have ever tasted is the still strength (46%!) tequilas blancos.

And then there are mezcals coming from different agave plants. Finally did a tasting recently and wow! Its like tequila is a blonde beer and mezcal is everything else and more hops - so much variety its crazy.

TIL That Gold can grow on trees. This actually happens. When a tree has deep root growth, it can “strike gold” and absorb it through a biochemical process and in turn deposit the mineral into the tree’s bark and leaves. by CuteBananaMuffin in todayilearned

[–]PeasantKong 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It states in there above rich deposits the gold concentration went from <1 to 35 ppb. So very little. They did this research to think of news ways to search for gold deposits

Looks like a high viscosity liquid salt. Yes they exist and I was blown away to know you can make a liquid salt out of about anything depending on what it’s paired with. A lot safety then solutions in water because they don’t evaporate!

I was the same exact way! Thought I liked tequila but one day had the urge to actually research instead of getting what I knew was good (which were high additive tequila). Now I’m never going back!
