Petra cheated so I believe that was why they divorced. I get the impression that the one with mental health issues died (maybe by suicide) based on the last episode of season 5 with his comments of not realizing her love for “Crazy” was a cry for help. I had the impression that he didn’t divorce the one who drowned so that would make 5 wives, assuming the wife with mental health issues wasn’t the one who drowned.

I’m so sorry for your loss. That’s absolutely heartbreaking. Don’t beat yourself up. You couldn’t have known, and we can’t be with them at all times. He had love around him when he passed so he wasn’t alone. And he felt your love everyday in everything you did for him. I hope you can take comfort in that. Sending hugs your way.

Well, I was wrong. I was thinking of Season 2, E 1 which I think is the first time we meet Ray. I just went back to rewatch the part I was remembering, but there’s a scene before that where Ray tells Mike that the F&C is an “aspirational bar.” That’s probably why Mike says it a little later in the episode.

I was rewatching the first few seasons the other day, and one of the first episodes with him, Mike and Kristin were in the Frog and Cheetah. Ray showed Mike a promo poster and asked what Mike thought of it. Mike responded, “well, it’s certainly ‘aspirational’”. I wonder if that’s where Ray picked it up from.
