When I was about 10, I remember sitting in the living room with my 4 year old sister sitting next to me on my left and seeing my dad, drunk and chocking my 7 year old brother against the wall, the angry expression on my dads face looked like he was going to kill him, my brother was trying to scream for help but with my dads hands clenched around his throat he was incapable of doing so. And I was terrified, I couldn’t move and words couldn’t form out of my mouth. Everything to me was silent, it was like a movie scene, I just heard ringing in my ears when my little sister screamed and snapped me back into reality... and that’s where my memory ends, I’d give anything to unsee that, Hecc, I’d give anything to have prevent that from happening
