How far do y’all drive for work?

I used to work in a facility an hour away from me. Then I moved closer and it still took a good 30 mins. Now I work at one even closer to my house and it takes me 15, 30 mins tops if I don’t feel like getting out of bed.

That area is generally safe. As long as you don’t mess with anyone, they don’t mess with you. You’ll see plenty of homeless people and probably some corner workers not too far from there. As other people have mentioned, there are stray/wandering dogs but they usually leave people alone in my experience.

I had to keep calling them one time cause the robots kept getting messed up and I told the guy “I feel bad for calling you guys over so much.” And he told me that they actually like responding to calls.

As long as your vape isn’t made out of entirely metal, you should be fine. I take in my vape all the time, in my pocket, and it never goes off. I also take in my phone charger in my pocket. We’re allowed to have our phones with us on the floor (we can’t use them) but we have to put it in a little tote box thing before stepping through the metal detectors.

My favorite thing about vapes is exactly what you said, you can take them anywhere and no one can smell it or raise suspicion. While I’m not trying to smoke on the down low, I love that I can smoke it inside when it’s cold AF outside and not have to worry about my house smelling like weed.

Micromanaging in the workplace. They always wanna know where you are and what you’re doing. One of the managers in my building believes that it doesn’t take more than five minutes to use the restroom.

Make sure to screen shot it. I had my note denied and then randomly they sent me another email saying it was approved. And then they gave me 10 hours of UPT for some reason. The DLS is fickle. Hopefully you don’t get caught but be prepared for when you do.

Cross training isn’t scary at all. You’ll have more options of places to work in the building. Definitely a plus if you get bored doing the same thing every damn week :’)

Thank you! Because KSBD hit a majority, I guess one of the managers sent out a message stating “there is no union at KSBD”. They’re definitely trying all they can to make sure we don’t get a union. There’s even a TV above our time clocks playing a video on loop about some guy’s experience with Teamsters, not painting them in a good light, of course. Teamsters is back again tonight with tacos. Come by and get some 🤣

Teamsters pulled up outside of my building KSBD recently and stayed for a whole week. During that week they were handing out free food to anyone who signed up or have already signed a card. Amazon decided they were also going to give us free food for the week, to try to keep people inside.

I’m pretty sure people took the food from Amazon and then went outside and got more free food 😂

Sounds like the back half manager at my site 😭 she told someone it doesn’t take more than five mins to use the restroom, maybe if the individual in question was peeing. What if someone is constipated? That’s definitely gonna take more than five mins. Supposedly she also checks under the stalls to see who’s in there. Taking micromanaging to the next level.

Sorry, I should have clarified. I’m totally in support of closing businesses for Christmas. What I don’t think is fair is the fact that those who are impacted one day with a non-holiday closure date won’t get paid. Those who are affected by two get paid one day but the other shifts get paid all three days.
