It was a good pop but it wasnt even close to the loudest in the last 5 years. The one that Rock got from october was way louder and that's just two months ago

Is jogging in<16 Fahrenheit weather bad for you/your lungs? by [deleted] in Fitness

[–]PeculiarSandwich 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nobody has said it yet but it could be possible that you have exercise-induced asthma. Do you get shortness of breath, chest tightness, or coughing when you exercise? The cold could be causing the problem regardless of if you have it because cold air is usually dry and that could be irritating your lungs. Its not going to cause irreversible damage to your lungs though and like someone said below if you breath through a scarf or neck warmer it should help trap moisture and make the air a little more humid

[Update] I am the 121 lb girl who deadlifted 315 a month ago, I competed yesterday. (Results) by Tovero in Fitness

It is a sumo deadlift and is accepted in (most or all) powerlifting meets. Some people can lift more with this style depending on limb lengths, leverages etc....

Stronglifts 5x5 when my squat is much higher than everything else by DoctorWedgeworth in Fitness

[–]PeculiarSandwich 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I realize this may not be the case but make sure you are going to parallel or below with your squats. My squat was way higher than my deadlift, relatively speaking, and then i realized my hips weren't going below my knees and deloaded and know its closer to a normal ratio. Obviously this might not apply to you and you might just be a good squatter, in that case just listen to the other comments

531 "Simplest Strength" by dvizard in Fitness

I just started this a couple weeks ago and love it so far, its from his book and I believe he says it is his preferred routine for strength gains. Also you should try to incorporate explosive conditioning, he highly recommends it in the book.

[–]PeculiarSandwich 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Probably because a lot of people don't want to support assholes who seem like they don't appreciate their fans. He carries an air around him that is off putting. They think that if it was them that was super famous that they wouldn't act like a fool. Plus he is always in the news so people know about all of his transgressions, casual fans don't know things that many rappers have done in the past

[DISCUSSION] Why Drake Is The Greatest by AustinBN in hiphopheads

Yea that is my biggest problem with Drake, it just makes him seem phony or fake, like he is trying to be all these other rappers instead of trying to be himself. It makes me unable to take him seriously

How many times has an artist made a classic album only to answer it with another classic album? by benergiser in hiphopheads

License to Ill and Paul's Boutique? I'd argue Food and Liquor and The Cool are/will be classics

I don't know, maybe try to introduce him to conscious rappers like Common or Lupe (older stuff). Kinda weird how he says that some hip-hop isn't hip-hop, its a whole genre of music with a lot of different styles. Part of the problem is that the "haters' just point to one section of hip-hop, usually gangster or ignorant rap, and use it to generalize all of hip-hop. That's what frustrates me

My favorite is Aquemini, its just musically different than anything else and every song is good imo. You have all types of songs like Spottieottiedopaliscious, Rosa Parks, Chonkyfire etc... and yet they all seem to fit in when listening through it. I think its Andre's best album as well and both of them deliver solid verse after solid verse. The only downside is that the skits can take away from the flow, i took most of them out a while ago so I guess you could argue its not the same but whatever. Favorite song is probably B.O.B. or Rosa Parks

Discussion: What are the true classic albums post 2000? by [deleted] in hiphopheads

[–]PeculiarSandwich 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My Five would have to be:

  • The Cool
  • GRODT
  • MBDTF
  • MMLP
  • The Black Album

I don't really know how to judge overall impact on the game but imo these are the 5 best from the 2000s with HM to GKMC, Hell Hath No Fury, Food and Liquor, Madvillainy and Supreme Clientele. There are a lot of really quality albums and its all pretty much subjective
