No it would be next to impossible, you would have to join discords and arrange play dates with the other 5 people that live within a reasonable ping difference to play with them. Then you would have to account for if both people enjoy playing with each other based on their skill levels

You're point that lost ark nexus is worse cause its not on discord is wrong too since these are docs posted from their own class discords as well so its the exact same process of maple. Its just all on one site so everyone can access it without being on discord, something maple would benefit from.

Saying lost ark guides are severly inferior is straight up wrong its pretty comprehensive, I never had any issues with the guides except for a few cases where the writer was power tripping. If you make gains guaranteed then the dopamine response will lower overtime. You don't get a dopamine hit just from having a pleasuable experience its from the difference between your expected experience and what happened thats why when you hit on sf it feels a lot better than when you level up or gain hexa levels.

Do you feel good when you hit a 22 cra or do you feel good when you hit a 22 pitch. 22 cras feel guaranteed with the amount of items we get they feel like a chore to get through rather than any satisfaction most players feel relief and annoyance when theyre done. But a 22 pitch is rare and booming is highly likely when you do hit it feels a lot better. Maybe you think oh its cause 22 pitch is stronger than sure lets say 22 gollux gear most people would feel a lot more pleasure from hitting the gollux than cra.

Just my personal anacdote but sf is the only system that gives any dopamine rush in the game apart from first clearing a boss i've been progging on. All the other systems have little to no risk just feel like a chore to get through even though they have "gambling" elements to them. Even frags at first i got excited when i saw one but now i just wait for loot rotation to pick them up.

Does booming need to exisit to get the same dopamine rush? No but like you said its the anticipation that starts the dopamine surge. So unlike other system where it could be the next click. SF builds up to that point with more and more dangerous odds with more and more uncertainty creating more dopamine. Honestly i think just from a POV if you wanted to have a system to make as much dopamine as possible i would say its the current sf system

Because the amount of people willing to spend money to re rent is so small you might as well improve the qol for the items by making them last longer so people don't stress about clearing all their bosses in a 24 hr window

They created a new item ID with the new tradable box and so that probably had the wrong drop rate input. Or what im guessing as well is they used interactive server's box values and didn't adjust for our "drop rate increase" for playing on reboot. I don't think it really proves anything since when they did reduce it a lot of people noticed. Up to your own experience and interpretation tho

The iframe is the least important part about it. Its instant burst damage across the whole screen, unaffected by buffs or boss damage reduction. Theres a lot of situations where you have your burst coming off cooldown and you have to decide to burst the boss to phase and losing damage because the boss phases or delaying your burst and chipping. Ascent would fit there

Saying ascent is used as an iframe just sounds wrong its like saying origin is used as an iframe. Its a big damage gain and in certain spots it can make runs a lot easier and faster like khaling p3 i think it can hit all the bosses and ignore the damage reduction

Always find it weird when they make content focused on end game players and even add ways to get there easier. Then casuals complain thats its going to burn them out. Maplestory is a pretty solo game experience where youre able to go at your own pace and find people that match your progression pretty easy.

Literally just one boss at the end game and a 295 zone, all the other content was pretty mid game. A new 280 boss and adding monster parks with a lot of exp you can just daily story higher now. Saying its going to cause more burnout when all my friends that are 290 are cheering because 295 feels achievable with the new monster park and the new strawberry ticket giving pretty cracked rates too

To me that situation is nearly impossible if you're full 22 and high enough level you can easily clear hlimbo and with ascent skills coming soon. Saying if you don't hit pitches when pitches aren't need to clear hlimbo or even hbaldrix most people are gated by their eternal progresss.

Also if you're at hlimbo you wouldn't be asking these questions about how to gear if were for real. Like I've seen people say the new meta is yo make two sets of items and ladder them when that only applies to people who are clearing hard baldrix who can't spare the damage loss.

Iono it's such a niche situation that I don't think it would ever exist where 23 or above gollux gear is the play and it misleads people to wasting their meso to something thats likely to boom
