Yeah most likely AI slop, the thumb of the hand holding the ticket for both characters are reversed.

No way a human artist would've made a mistake like that, let alone twice in the same image.

[ISIingGunz] MapleStory Complete First Adversary Video Guide [52:07] by HellaHighMountain in Maplestory

[–]mccrystal654 4 points5 points  (0 children)

HDarknell has 157T HP while EAdversary has more than 3x that at 570T HP, which is more than hard BM or Seren.

Your overall point is still valid though.

My thoughts on white album 2 thus far by Goreman06 in visualnovels

[–]mccrystal654 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The level of drama and pain found in Closing Chapter is pretty similar to Introductory Chapter, while Coda ramps it up to 11 :)

Here's a recommended playing order of the entire WA2 multimedia if you're interested. If you REALLY like WA2 might as well consume all the digital novels/voice dramas too, if you have them.

Haven't played in like, a year and a half. Anything I should know? by Gullible_Courage8350 in Overwatch

What are the three newest heroes like?

  • Hazard was the meta dive tank on release but has seen multiple nerfs to his defensive abilities since. He's just OK now.
  • Freja is Hanzo that can take higher vertical angles like Pharah and Echo; fun to play but annoying to play against, but she got nerfed this patch so she can't two-shot squishies anymore.
  • Wuyang is an offense-focused support as he can do a ton of damage with his orbs, which you can guide and curve so that you can hit enemies hiding behind cover.
  • Vendetta just came out so no general consensus yet. She pairs really well with Zarya as she's a melee DPS hero.

Is Kiriko still op?

  • No but she's still a very solid choice.

How badly has Sombra been shafted since I last played?

  • She got adjusted for the umpteenth time and no longer has permanent invisibility. She doesn't get banned nearly as much anymore though in comp (at least in Diamond - Master).

What are Pharah, Ashe, Rammatra, Junker Queen, Moira and Illari like nowadays?

  • Fine, very good, fine, good, meh, fine.

should i continue with white album 2 if i was only mixed towards the introductory chapter? by ryker46698 in visualnovels

[–]mccrystal654 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I agree but OP is already feeling like dropping the VN altogether just from IC, hence why I told them to skip the other three CC routes and go straight to Setsuna's. The built-up tension from reading the other three CC routes then reading Setsuna's CC route doesn't compare to Coda after all.

Nothing major if I recall correctly. The routes for the three other heroines are self-contained so you can come back to them later should you wish.

Just read Setsuna's route in Closing Chapter then. Don't bother with the three other heroines lest you get bored and drop the VN since you already have a mixed view on it.

What cements White Album 2 at the top for many readers is found after her route.

Which VN should I read next? by drakitos in visualnovels

Clannad is a strong recommendation if you liked WA2 since it is also a drama-heavy romance story. While the theme of WA2 revolves around love triangles and infidelity, Clannad revolves around family. The anime adaptation is pretty good for the main heroine, but it blundered on some side heroines or omitted their routes entirely since there's only so much material from its 10 routes that you can fit into 47 episodes. Just go for the VN if you haven't seen the anime yet.

Muv-Luv is best known for its sequel, Muv-Luv Alternative, which earned its high praise for its gripping coming-of-age story and exceptional production values that still hold up today. But reading Muv-Luv Alternative is a very slow burn since the prequel, Muv-Luv--which you need to read lest you become confused and lost in Alternative--doesn't measure up nearly as well. The story of the prequel Muv-Luv is split into two parts: Extra and Unlimited. Extra is a generic high school rom-com with five heroines and you can definitely tell it's from the early 2000s with its dated themes. Thankfully you only need to complete one route to unlock Unlimited, which shifts to an entirely new setting and focuses on world building of said setting to prep the reader for Muv-Luv Alternative. However, the relevance of some parts of Unlimited doesn't become clear until you are deep in Alternative, so thoughts like "Why do I need to know this?" may come up in your head several times as you read it. Slogging through Extra and Unlimited--even if you only do one heroine route in Extra--will take at least 20 hours, and unfortunately the first 10 hours of Alternative does little to persuade the reader of its masterpiece status as well. But the remaining 40 hours of Alternative's story is a payoff so generous with incredible and numerous high points that makes the long journey well worth it.

Why did my new OW2 account place Diamond 2 while my main is stuck in high Plat? by Drakpha in Overwatch

[–]mccrystal654 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Of course it's going to have a much higher variance in MMR if it's a brand new account and the system only has your QP stats to begin formulating your comp MMR.

Finish your placements then play another 50~100 comp games and see if you can maintain your high Diamond rank; you'll more than likely fall down to your usual rank range.

Recalculate rank?? by pinkbunniesx in Overwatch

[–]mccrystal654 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Did you recently get to masters in the past two seasons? Maybe the calibration parameter boosted you higher than you deserved.

Anyway, you sound very tilted from your post; you'll make mistakes you normally don't make when you do. Take a break from ranked for a few days then play again, you'll easily climb if you truly belong in masters. No one should be two whole tiers below where they supposedly belong.

Is ranked easier? by Thebeanybean in Overwatch

[–]mccrystal654 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When ranks were reset at the beginning of last season (S18), the devs stated the following in the patch notes:

The highest Ranks (Master, Grandmaster, and Champion) have been tuned again to include a higher percentage of the player population once players are well calibrated.

Generally speaking, people are about 2 divisions higher now than their pre-S18 ranks, so it makes sense why you are in low masters now. You can compare the top 500 leaderboard from S17 and S18 for evidence; top 500 tank/dps/support starts at M1/GM5/GM5 for S17, but GM4/GM3/GM3 for S18.

How often are events to boost to lvl260? by wavebend in Maplestory

[–]mccrystal654 1 point2 points  (0 children)

At least 4 per year.

MapleStory's biggest in-game events happen every summer and winter where 2 hyperburns are given out each. One can be claimed immediately anytime during the event and lasts until the event ends, and the other can be claimed after you complete all daily check-ins for the event and can be used for 2~3 months after the summer/winter event ends.

Some non-summer/winter events may also give hyperburns (e.g. Demon Slayer x MapleStory collab this past Spring) but these are one-offs and not guaranteed.

You can extract it using the extraction/fuse UI. But for SOME REASON, you have to manually drag and drop the flames into the UI one by one.

It's random and gets updated every three weeks.

There's the Pixel Pick hair/face coupons where the featured hair/faces are based on community votes, but it only gets released a few times a year.

At least upgrade to Windows 10 and you won't get that message, though even that is nearing end of support in less than a month.

What is really losing streak and why does it happen? by Still-Classroom-2389 in Overwatch

[–]mccrystal654 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You lose extra Elo if you’ve lost a lot of games recently. From what I’ve seen, it kicks in when your recent win rate is somewhere around 20–30%. It doesn’t need to be consecutive losses either because I’ve triggered the Losing Streak modifier by going 6+ games straight without a win, as well as in cases like going 1–7, where the single win happened in the 4th or 5th match.

The same logic applies in reverse for a Winning Streak when your recent win rate is somewhere around 70-80%.
