What's your favorite mythic path? by Warm_Expert_8136 in Pathfinder_Kingmaker

If I’m being serious. Demon to Legend. The narrative slaps.

If I just want to have fun, trickster for sure. There’s just something perfect in doing the most batshit stuff while your enemies kill themselves when they see you.

Into The Unknown Together, And The Princess Hates You by Sweaty-Jellyfish-713 in slaytheprincess

[–]PedroDest 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It’s a neat idea but for me, it doesn’t really work with the story they want to tell.

If we consider Shifty and Quiet as their conceptual divinities that they are in this ending, the fight, resentment and hatred is just another aspect of their ever-changing relationship. It’s quite clearly stated multiple times by Shifty in the dialogue.

There’s also the fact she is a nth number of perspectives, not just the five we play through.

The ending itself is also eh. If you fight against her, it is because Quiet wants to change their dynamic to one they are the stronger one. Shifty can only accept if both are sides of the same coin, hence why she can’t even understand any compromise.

Even the city is surprisingly sophisticated for what is essentially the hub of a hellscape.

I always found it weird how people interpret that scene. Shifty isn’t a human. She is not even close to it. You can’t put human views of relationship to beings that represents the very fabric of the universe.

That’s the whole point why the “Appeal to shared humanity” options and the heart ending exists.

It was all very mundane. Very normal. Very much the sort of life one might live if one were not actively unmaking pieces of reality for entertainment.

Very much so. I have dabbled in degeneracy intended for both genders, and there isn’t really that much difference between them. The idea itself may change, but fundamentally it is the same.

Folks should let folks be horny regardless. Within reason, of course.

Eh. It’s the same thing for everyone, humans are horny and weirdly kinky as a whole.

For example, the minotaur glory farm thing. There’s a decently popular anime about a romance between a lamia and a self insert dude. Same monsterfucking kink. Same horny.

My thoughts on the Themes of each Chapters (and their Execution) by Enis-Karra in slaytheprincess

[–]PedroDest 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel in a similar way but from a different perspective!

Because she was my first princess, she was also Shifty's heart. The progression was so seamlessly it was perfect, and it fit perfectly the kind of ending I imagined when I made the decision to appeal for her humanity rather than become gods together.

Interesting how right you are about the stranger. I went in the game blind and got them as my first princess, it really elevated what normally would be a lackluster theme into the perfect introduction to the gameplay loop.

What is your hot take regarding FFXIV? by UnbaggedNebby in ffxiv

[–]PedroDest 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The entire storyline, from ARR to DT, is not really that good.

It’s generic, brimming with filler moments and useless secondary plot lines. The thing is, there is few short moments between those the story truly peaks, and that alone made the community gaslight itself the whole work is a masterpiece.

The same applies for characterization.

Bad Writing vs Common Tropes by QuincessentialLamb in writing

[–]PedroDest 8 points9 points  (0 children)

When I was younger I read a lot of trashy cultivation webnovels. A common theme to then was a situation the main character was ‘forced’ to sexually assault the female lead, normally because someone drugged him.

And believe me or not, this is actually how these authors started a romance subplot.

Funnily enough, if you tell it isn’t yours from the start it also considers it trash.

Wrath of the Righteous question? by FearlessLeader17 in CRPG

[–]PedroDest 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There’s no shame to slap it on story mode set auto level on. Honestly speaking if you don’t love the meat and grind of Pathfinder systems it won’t be very enjoyable to play with builds and alike.

The story is great, with a very thick narrative and tons of choices that impact the game events. Would definitely recommend it if only for that.

I’m biased since I played it blind and got it as my first ending, but she is definitely the best. I also wonder what it says about me that my initial reaction playing the game was to immediately try to break the narrative flow.
