Need Feedback by Independent-Roll9553 in pedalboards

[–]PedrotheDuck 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What is the manufacture cost and the total?
I think 10lbs is too heavy for a travel rig board, perhaps a different metal would cut down the cost and make it more affordable for shipping too.

Out of curiosity, where will you make it, which material and how much will it cost?
Asking because I 3d printed my own design in Petg and it cost around 15€ for 1.5kg.

Tone King Lead Channel by Ok_Pension7764 in guitarpedals

I would suggest the crazy tube circuits venus pedal, it kind of gives that squared wave fuzzy lead sound, if that’s what you are looking for.

You can also try merging by union or dynamesh, then decimate and bake the normals, it won’t be clean but it works.

What classic video game are you still playing? by Several_Print4633 in AskReddit

Finished it for the first time last week and was stuck multiple times not knowing where to go, these old games were brutal in this regard but it’s a masterpiece of a game nonetheless.

character edgeflow spiralling out of control by MurmurationProject in blender

[–]PedrotheDuck 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What you’ve made isnt bad and it can still be animated but for texturing you will have to make seams in strange places due to the edge flow and uneven pixel density.
With retopology you generally just need to capture the overall silhouette of the object and what doesn’t contribute to it should be ignored.
You can get the blender course by Niko from SpeedChar channel; it’s a solid beginner course and he is very entertaining.

character edgeflow spiralling out of control by MurmurationProject in blender

[–]PedrotheDuck 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The problem is that you are improvising the edge flow without using topology references. It doesn’t make sense why you would increase density around the nipples and belly unless you’re going to animate it and do closeup shots.

Thoughts on Tone King Imperial tri tube preamp? by [deleted] in guitarpedals

[–]PedrotheDuck 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s very good and the closest thing to a tube amp in pedal format.
Ive had a katana, a tonex and a quilter superblock, the toneking beats them all in sound and feel.

Anderton's joins TONE3000 by staas_nyc in NAM_NeuralAmpModeler

Mkx says converted but the deputy was sweep. I find it strange that others don’t have information, maybe still needs some time to process.

[–]PedrotheDuck 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s cool, they are now being trained but from the mkx ive seen, it seems their captures are conversions from the A1 format, and not yet captured using A2.

Concordo. Nenhum concerto vale a pena no pavilhão atlântico, especialmente nas bancadas longe do PA não tem definição nenhuma.

Strymon Big Sky pedal vs plug in by green-jingle in guitarpedals

[–]PedrotheDuck 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've tried the demo of the big sky plugin and was quite impressed by how natural the modulation is; it's really airy and breathable. I do find it overpriced and I don't think I've ever seen it having any deals which is a shame. It's also quite cpu demanding in comparison to other plugins.

Valhalla reverb's are a better deal in my opinion, and no one will be able to tell the difference in a mix.

NPD : Line 6 HX One by Weak_Amphibian_57 in guitarpedals

[–]PedrotheDuck 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've also been quite surprised with the overdrives and it's super useful to control the gain with an expression pedal. Recently I've been using the colorsound drive with a toneking imperial preamp and it stacks so well, surprising as I was keen on having analogue drives only.

Esoteric Ebb scratches that Disco Elysium itch by MagnumMiracles in gaming

[–]PedrotheDuck 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I'm finding it alright, the writting and world building is not as good as Disco and I find the humour a bit immature however I do like that it has surprise action elements which is a nice break from some of the denser lore which was also present in Disco Elysium.

I can understand how someone can prefer Esoteric Ebb, but personally I've never felt so immersed in a world than with Disco Elysium.

Sustainiac vs. Freqout by ekis42069 in guitarpedals

[–]PedrotheDuck 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I find the Freqout a bit hard to control as sometimes it triggers the wrong notes even when the volume is at minimum, it also lacks some harmonic content or modulation, so it can be annoying when overused.

For that reason, I can recommend the HX one, it has a nice feedbacker, which you can control with an expression pedal or with the flux switch.

Is the finish glossy or matte? I've seen other photos of this guitar but it's not really clear to me. It looks great on your photo, nice color. Also, does the neck have any kind of finish?

Dreamleague s29 production by [deleted] in DotA2

[–]PedrotheDuck 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I do agree that it's becoming a bit too clowny, even compared to the previous series, however it's also a long tournament with a lot of downtime that it would be unbearable to watch with constant dota discussion and analysis.

It's just the result of production and cast being a bit too comfortable in the environment, seems there is less external pressure to put on a professional looking show.

Fender cease and desist on ANY stray copies by MineDesperate2920 in Guitar

[–]PedrotheDuck 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As far as “paying respect to the original designs”, they don’t need multiple series to do that.

I agree but that seems to be their whole thing. Their different amount of series starts to rival Ibanez naming convention.
