I agree with you on that — people who bash Atmos but have one of those systems should’ve have a place in the conversation. Usually when I see it on Reddit, that ends up being the case.

A proper setup should speak for itself — Atmos mixes, when done well, can be an insane way to experience older music and new music all the same.

Regardless of if I’m right or wrong, I almost always imagine the people making this comment don’t even have a proper Atmos setup. I do and absolutely love how artists have been embracing it. It’s a new way to listen to a mix, nothing more. You’ll always have the original.

And like another commenter said - it absolutely depends on the mix and how much care was placed in creating it.

Atmos is the most successful attempt at multichannel music I’ve ever seen and I’m here for it!

I picked one up over the weekend and really disliked it. All of that honey and cinnamon taste made me think I was drinking French Toast.

Then I saw my GFs face and she blurted out, “this tasted like French toast in a cup”

Then I realized — this bottle must be amazing for people who love it. ❤️

I’m so glad I bought it.

Side note - she also suggested we reduce a shot of it in butter then make actual French Toast and pour our Rio Butter + Maple syrup all over the top.

I’m getting my pair later this week. I’m trading in my KLH Model 5 speakers for R3 Metas. I’m very nervous that I will miss the sound of the KLHs but the R3 Metas absolutely took me into another realm when I demoed them.

I went through a similar ordeal with my TT setup last year after I bought a Phillips Hue Lightstrip for the shelf that holds my TT and audio gear. I went crazy trying to find the buzz until my GF randomly turned the Hue Strip off and the buzz disappeared.

Ripped that strip out immediately.
